There are two types of solo devs. The one who are good at the programming part of the game, and the ones who are good at the designing part of the game. I would think that I am the latter. You know, athmosphere, story, feeling, characters, world building, places...that type of stuff. More fun for me. Maybe I suck at both, but you gotta spend time on what you enjoy the most.

In my past games I think this shines through when you see that parts of the gameplay and minigames are not as enjoyable as I thought they would be.

But where it is clear to see is when I am trying to port the games to mobile. That is where some coding is needed and that is where I constantly fail.

Femdom City is a simple game. You just have to make choices and click (touch) somewhere on the screen. It would be great for mobile applications and tablets...in theory.  The last 5 days I tried porting Femdom City MANTIS to mobile and I am now giving up (again). I need something like Unity that has a one click solution for exporting to mobile...not like this bullshit engine visual novel maker (i already told you, but you should never use it to make a game...there is a reason that i am the only idiot using it). I tried to speak with the devs but no one is answering...and I already asked them about the save game issue that some of you have and no one is answering either. Never ever go for an engine that has little to no community, because at some point you will need someone to give you advice!

So yes...sorry about the little rant. You want weekly updates. This week I achieved nothing. Thanks for your support :)

Well, almost nothing...

The only thing that I am making good progress on is learning the new render engine (render = my 3d artwork). Here are some pictures of indoor and outdoor scenes. If this is giving you a dark, gothic and slightly creepy vibe...good :) (the pic above is just so great, a castle on an island, hidden behind fog. Who do you think waits inside?)

I have spend a lot of time finding my render style and even the new characters look like very polished versions of my older games done with the old render engine. and that is a good thing!

Also, anybody remember this place? :)

remember, remember... :D

And that's it for this week. No mobile version but some architecture renders instead. Don't say I don't treat you right ;)

Stay kinky!
