The exhibition hall was impressive, with multiple areas for simultaneous fights. People from all over the states, including the few who travelled with the trio, had gathered here. Each hoping to win.

Kim approached the main desk to enter herself and Minako into the system. Yui cleared her throat to get her daughter's attention, pointing to her mobile phone as she spoke. "I'm sorry Minako. I've got to check on something real quick. Work has been hectic lately. I promise I won't miss your fight. I just really need to deal with this before it gets out of hand..."

Minako's shoulders deflated. "Okay Mom..." She forced out of her mouth. Deep down inside she wished she could say 'Can't you forget about it for today?' knowing that wouldn't be wise, she slunk off to the side as Yui made her way back towards the entrance. The younger woman taking a seat on a bench as Kim approached, shooting her the thumbs up to signal that they'd been registered.

"Huh, where's your Mom gone off to?"

"Something work-related..."

"Damn, so that's why she's been so preoccupied lately." Kim sat down beside her friend. "Well, lucky for you your fight isn't until later. Matter of fact, I'm up way before you! I'm sure she'll be back in time for it." Kim continued, trying to cheer Minako up.

"Heh, that's a blessing. Maybe she'll get to see me kick your ass then!"

"Pfft, please. I can't embarrass you in front of your mother! Just don't come crying to me when I inevitably do! I just gotta win my fights, so make sure you win yours too!"

Back at the entrance, Yui took a detour, holding her phone to a QR lock, granting her access to slip through the now unlocked door and into the staff areas. Up the stairs and into the office space above. She made sure her clothes were straightened as she walked through the crowd of staff members, acting as if she belonged.

It wasn't long until she found something that felt out of place. A computer that was downloading information about each fighter. Recording the fights currently happening, analyzing each bout assigning a score to each fighter...
