Why was there another person here? Most people wouldn't bother coming here...he said he was doing a bit of urban exploring but he doesn't seem prepared for something like that. No backpack, just a torch...no camera either...but then again, you don't need a camera if you just want to explore. Elizabeth was talking to herself in her head. Growing wary of the man they bumped into.

"Well!? Cant you stop them!?"

"Heres the thing! Sometimes the best way to get rid of them is by letting them get their revenge!"

"THAT'S STUPID!"

"I DON'T WRITE THE RULES OKAY!?"

A fire seven years ago. One of Elizabeth's first stories she reported on. What can she remember...multiple people died that night. The fire started from the kitchen and spread quickly throughout the building. At least, that's what reports say. The hotel manager got a good payout from the insurance company-- The hotel manager...something about the manager had Elizabeth repeat it in her head. Hoping to recall what he looked like. Then, as she laid eyes on the man once more. She recognised him.

"Darren? Darren Peters? Former hotel manager from the windview?"

The bickering stopped as the man turned his head towards the reporter. His eyes shifted between the two women. "No? What are you on about? You got possessed or something?!"

"Hm..possession isn't really a revenant...thing..." Rebecca added.

"Well, your friend there seems to be losing their mind!"

"Don't you own another hotel now? Why are you back here?"

"Look lady, I don't know what--"

"Seven years ago. A fire consumed this place and the manager got a nice payout. Only for another hotel of theirs to suffer the same fate. Seven years ago, I reported on that fire. I interviewed you, remember?"

The man's eyes widened.

"So, I'll ask one more time...what brings you here..."

Rebecca started to piece it together, backing away from the man.

"You've always been a nosy fucking reporter..." He lunged at Elizabeth who tried to pull out some pepper spray before her head was slammed into the desk, causing her body to crumple into a limp mess on the floor. Rebecca quickly bolted to pick up the spray before being lifted up and pinned against the wall, her airways being forced closed by the man's grip. It wasn't long until her eyes rolled into the back of her head as she was dropped to the ground, limp next to the reporter.
