Sorry about the lacking episodes of Succession & SoA last week. I've been sick and pretty much bedridden since Saturday. IDK if it's Covid (feels like the flu), but I appear to be past the worst of it.

Movie suggestions for this month?

KapZachlan

Hunt for the Wilder People if you haven’t seen it. Rest up and feel better Jimmy 🙏🏼

Alex Kingdom

Blazing saddles Color out of space Rat Race Lucky Number Slevin The Mule Trainspotting

Dean Cyphers

Feel better Jimmy! As far as movie suggestions go I’ll try these. Donnie Darko The Truman Show The island

Callum

Hope u get better. Films karate kid (the original), kikis delivery service and one cut of the dead

Michael

Jimmy, sorry to hear you are ill! Feel better soon, and no need to apologize=) My suggestions are the same as usual!: Clue (1985), a who's who of 80s comedy talent does a wacky murder whodunnit based on the board game Contagion (2011), Steven Soderbergh's star studded tense thriller about a worldwide epidemic which, while a significantly worse plague than our real pandemic, ended up being prescient in certain ways about the reality of last year and today. Maverick (1994), an adventure/western/action/comedy adapting the 1957 tv show of the same name, about a slick, fast talking gambler and his misadventures attempting to acquire the entrance fee to a major poker tournament. Stars Mel Gibson, with Jodie Foster, Alfred Molina, and James Garner. A personal favorite from my youth. Speed Racer (2008), the Wachowski siblings campy bright kinetic action packed fun adaptation of the children's anime? One of my favs. The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters (2007), throwing a curveball: a documentary. It's pretty funny, about some super strange real life characters. Talks about competitive arcade gaming, specifically a big fight over the world record for donkey kong. It's a strange tale of underdogs, villains, and absurdity.

Tenet The Aviator Se7en Midsommar The Perfect Storm The Revenant

The Death of Stalin

The Island/Mst3k episode for Parts: The Clonus Horror double feature!=) I dig The Island more than I thought I would at the time, and some of the action in the 3rd act is suuuuper cool. Donnie Darko & Truman Show I love immensely...all 3 of these would be fun.

Michael

A diverse list I find no fault in...I can get behind any of these, for different reasons. SE7EN & The Perfect Storm, especially.

Michael

I haven't even seen this but at this point I'm rooting for this one based solely on how much other Jimmy fans keep pushing it!

Tenet, The Revenant, Silence, Clue, Wild Tales.

Scarlett Monrow

Pitch Black (2000) - Vin Diesel's first and best role The Man in the Iron Mask (1998) Clue (1985) an amazing comedy Maverick (1994) - fun and adventure with Mel Gibson Reign of Fire (2002) - Christian Bale vs Dragons!

Nerd Going Outside

Feel better man! - Rear Window (1954) - Hitchcock. Holds up despite being old as fuck. - The Green Mile (1999) - Tom Hanks. Same crew that did Shawshank. - The Abyss (1989) - James Cameron, Ed Harris. Lots of actors almost die filming cool underwater thriller. Worth watching the director's cut if this is selected. - Contact (1997) - Jodie Foster. Matthew McConaughey. Based on a Carl Sagan novel. Science vs. Faith. - Rounders (1998) - Damon. Norton. Malkovich. Best poker movie... ever? Also saw a suggestion for Lucky Number Slevin, seconding that.

Ninaofthe90s

The Hunt (2012) again, please Jimmy. Let's see if it works this time 😏 Feel better, Jimmy 💝💝

TouchTheGarlic

Wanted to add two sequels to movies you’ve reacted to: Blade Runner 2049 (2017) 22 Jump Street (2014) And add my support to these films which others have already suggested: The Truman Show (1998) The Death of Stalin (2017)

Uncle 'Traveling' Matt

Hope you feel better soon! - Super (2010). Written/directed by James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy). Comedy/action. A regular guy decides to become a super hero in order to rescue his wife. - Slither (2006). Also written/directed by James Gunn. Comedy/horror. Intergalactic space worms invade earth (but good.) - Tucker and Dale vs Evil (2010). Fantastic comedy/horror. Best to know nothing going in... - War on Everyone (2016). Third film by the McDonagh brother that made The Guard. The second one was good too (Calvary) but isn't appropriate for Dummy.

I Saw the Devil (2010), Shutter Island (2010), Mulholland Drive (2001), and The Player (1992)

Green Room (2015)

Light Yagami

Since you just watched 21 jump street and loved it it’d be crazy not to watch 22 jump street so that will be my first suggestion. I’ll also second a few others and put the Truman show as my number 2

Drew

Hell or High Water (more Taylor sheridan). I saw the Devil, Green Room.

a serious man 2009 - burn after reading 2008 (coen brothers)

OK I’ll juat back other suggestions. — OMG if actually haven’t seen SE7EN then stop with your doing and watch!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️brill (i read in a comment below that you have seen it. Good. Disregard.) — Shutter Island ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️stunning — The Perfect Storm ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.2 — acting is so believable; thrilling. — Contagion ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.2 this is really a good time to watch my girl Kate. And Law Fish. Dark/stoic tone. I enjoy it. — Maverick is fun ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — Contact ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👏🏼 Jodie and MM. It was ahead of its time in some the effects. Thought-provoking and tense.

My cousin is 15 and left the hospital feeling like she had the flu… it’s Covid! I hope ur being safe!

Scarlett Monrow

A-Team (2010) action adventure - Liam Nesson, Bradley Cooper A Fish Called Wanda

Scarlett Monrow

If by any chance you haven't seen "The Abyss" by James Cameron - it's a must watch sci-fi. Also known the hardest to shoot movie EVER!

Robert Kruger

I recommend: Tommy Boy - One of the best comedies ever. Stars Chris Farley and David Spade. The Invisible Man (2020) Amazing special effects Hardcore Henry - Awesome First Person camerawork and action The Crying Game - Great Irish Mob vs. British Police movie with Forrest Whitaker. - I'd save this for April.

Robert Kruger

The King of Kong is the second best documentary film I've seen. The first is Touching the Void (it's a re-enactment).

Robert Kruger

Pitch Black is GREAT. Reign of Fire is often overlooked and far better than people give it credit for.

Robert Kruger

If you haven't watched James Vs Cinema's reaction to The Hunt (2012) you should check it out Nina.

Uncle 'Traveling' Matt

Don't forget that Jimmy has a list of all the movies he's seen here (https://www.patreon.com/posts/you-just-made-48222980)

Constantine

He has man from UNCLE already on the channel. They enjoyed it quite a bit too. youtube: /watch?v=pt6mDuDSYfQ and full: https://www.patreon.com/posts/46539425

I am looking at what everyone is suggesting and I would say : The Hunt, Maverick, Contact, Green Mile, Social Network are def things I would vote for. My personal suggestion would be Hanna (2011). It is definitely something you can watch with Marcus cause it has a lot of action. Or alternatively Unbreakable(2000) is something you might appreciate a solo watch, as a comic book fan. It is by M.Night Shamalamadingdong and it is imho his best movie. Hope you feel better dude.

Love Maverick... It would be a great reaction.

Scarlett Monrow

Mickey Blue Eyes (1999) - one of the best comedies with Hugh Grant

Max

He’s already seen Se7en and The Social Network for the 100th time

Scarlett Monrow

"Shanghai Noon" (2000) -comedy with Jackie Chan and Owen Wilson

Igby

Just piggybacking off others recommendations -The Witch -Blade Runner 2049 -Mandy -Green Room

La Haine

Robert Kruger

Unbreakable, Split and Glass are all great reactions for Jimmy. I think he may have seen one or all of them, but if not, it's a trilogy I'd highly recommend.

Robert Kruger

It's not something he's updating so a search of his posts may do better to avoid requests that he's done.

Robert Kruger

Am I insane or have people forgotten how good Tommy Boy is?

Wesley Rogers

Tucker and Dale Vs evil, The Departed , The Thin Red Line, The Collector, 22nd Jump Street, Spy

Uncle 'Traveling' Matt

Spy (2015), like 21 Jump Street, was waaaaaay funnier than I was expecting! Honestly, I think it's Jason Statham's best role, by far.

Wesley Rogers

Agreed hope he reacts to them and The Departed Dale and Tucker also really good and funnier than expected

I think he said once that he has seen every David Fincher movie and every Martin Scorsese movie. So no Se7en and no Shutter Island 🙂
