Been looking forward to these! And the finale of the season. These last few flow together so well, it's hard to stop watching. So much happens in these episodes. Even though I've seen these quite a few times, my heart still gets pumping when I watch. It's tense and exciting and emotional in places, and has a lot of "oh shit!" moments on top of it all.

Couple of production notes/context: we haven't really talked about it much in the comments, but the production of Korra was made a living hell by Nick executives. After, at this point, years of dicking around with episode and season orders, the last straw might have come when Nickoledeon decided to just stop broadcasting Korra at all on the channel, and made episodes 9-13 online-only. Which sucks, of course, but might be why they're so... juicy. Like, "yeah, motherfucker? We're no longer on a children's channel? Then please, take an old lady suffocating to death in gruesome detail and this other chick literally blowing her own goddamn head off! And deez nutz!" Just conjecture on my part, but I like to believe it. Good catch with Kuvira, voiced by Zelda Williams - daughter of the late, great Robin Williams. She's actually been a minor character since we first got to the Metal Clan. She was essentially Su's number three, behind the truth-seer - was in her dance recital, was captain of the guard, helped fight off the kidnapping, etc. She got her own music sting and dramatic close-up, so I don't think it's a spoiler to say that she does become more important. And uh... yeah, something tells me you'll like her a lot.

This show really does have quite the body count so far, even in the previous seasons. Obviously there's the murder-suicide at the end of S1, but we also see a whole boatload of people get killed by a spirit at the start of S2. This season has definitely had the most, starting with Aiwei when Zaheer threw him into the Fog of Lost Souls, and after that we've had a significant death every episode. So yeah, quite a (mostly on screen) body count for a children's show.

Maaaan I love Zaheer vs Tenzin. Showing the true difference between an expert martial artist who can airbend, and a true airbending master.
