They're the shittiest aliens of all time as a group, period. Dumb motherfuckers react to water like it's acid and they invade a planet that's 70% water to fight a species that's 70% water. They were terrifying right up until you realized they're retarded.

This movie terrified me when I went go see it when I was 7, but when they started to die from water I found it hilarious. Great movie though.

How hard is it to imagine that nearly all alien planets that they would cull would be 70% or more water? Earth may have had relatively primitive tech so they gave it a shot.

I thought it was a good movie. I think it's supposed to be more of a metaphor about a man in a crisis of faith finding God again. If you take the movie literally, it really unravels at the end. And I don't think that alien came back looking for revenge. Merrill said that he heard on the radio that the aliens left the planet in a hurry... and only their wounded were left behind. That alien was probably looking for human food... and he looked more scared than they were. But, that's just my take on it.
