While the comment section of the first Chernobyl episode (ep 2 will be up shortly) could've gone smoother, I am curious if the opinions of the top two tiers is all that different. Poll shortly...

Suggestions for new series?

Michael

If you haven't seen it, the american anime-inspired cartoon Avatar: The Last Airbender is one of my favorites, and is popular, and has already had some pretty popular reactions (Blind Wave, The Normies) that prove people dig those reactions, as well as popular reactions to the sequel series The Legend of Korra and now the Normies are doing the new "spirital successor" Netflix cartoon from one of the original show's writers, The Dragon Prince, so that's a potential 3-show combo that would last you a long time AND be very popular. I love when you revisit older shows, like you are doing with my favorite show Deadwood, with Lost, with BSG, Rome, etc., and some of those older shows don't have much presence in the reaction scene so it could be a good niche to fill. Perhaps 24? It's silly but fun, has good action, has the type of moral choices and tough decisions, plus it also has loads of surprises and twists and cliffhangers that go well with reactions. Another possibility is the recent HBO miniseries based on a Stephen King book, The Outsider. It's got that HBO pedigree, and it's good. A bit of a slow burn but I know you don't mind those. TL;DR: Avatar The Last Airbender (followed by The Legend of Korra and perhaps The Dragon Prince), 24, The Outsider

David

I have to send my vote for Spartacus (as always). I agree with Robert in that it would be an excellent series to watch. It's not overly long. It's packed with action. Really good characters, plotting and twists. All in all a well rounded show. Perhaps even something to consider outside of polling, but I confess, I am heavily biased and rooting for it as that's my top 3 shows of all time.

I also highly recommend Avatar: The Last Airbender (rated #12 greatest tv on imdb. right next to Breaking Bad and the Wire) Boardwalk Empire is a great HBO show that would be a solid react, its great quality tv as you would expect from there. I'm not sure what you've seen regarding Breaking Bad, but if you've been through that Better Call Saul is a rival to it honestly. Mad Men was one of the first big AMC shows and has plenty to go through. Another top tier show. Last suggestion is going to be really weird to be honest, but i'll say Downton Abbey. Hear me out: no real reactions have been done before, its still one of the top shows ever made, and I think seeing you react to something so far out of the "expected" types would actually be interesting as hell.

Xylen

Personally, I'd be interested in seeing you watch Better Call Saul (as I assume you've watched Breaking Bad). That may be a minority opinion, however. Continuing with Mr. Robot or starting Hannibal would also be good options. Regardless of what you end up watching, I hope you're not planning on stopping Chernobyl and replacing it completely. It would be a shame to quit in the middle when it's so short, and I do genuinely enjoy it so I hope that's not in the cards. Up to you, though.

Xylen

Hey, I thought I might be the only one in here advocating for Better Call Saul. For some reason there seems to be a group of people that tear it down as being bad for reactions, but I don't get that at all. I love that show. +1 for Mad Men (and potentially Avatar as well), haven't seen the others.

I also wanna take the opportunity to hop on the Avatar: TLA train. As far as the 'feel' of the show, it is the closest thing to FMA:B I think there is, so I feel like you'd be into it.

Xylen

I'd agree with Avatar (The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra). They're great and it makes sense from a "business" perspective - those reactions are generally pretty popular. TLA in particular may feel kind of childish at the beginning - it IS a cartoon - but it's popular for good reason and worth sticking with.

My vote would go to Orphan Black, but since I don't think it would win, Spartacus is good too.

For me Justified & Madmen are my other two top tier series I would love to see you react too. Justified for it's fun characters & vibe along with it's quick witted dialogue and Madmen for it's fantastic ensemble of complex, complicated characters set in a great period piece. Both series are some of the best TV i've seen for very different reasons but I would be hella invested in watching either or both of them with you

24, Mad Men, The X-Files

Unbeheld

No particular order: Warrior (Pretty much a Banshee spin off with Job), Ozark (Breaking bad lite), Counterpart (spy thriller with some sci fi with your boy Kai Proctor), Dark (fked up Stranger Things for adults), Gomorrah (Sopranos in actual Italy), Umbre (live action Grand Theft Auto from the perspective of a grunt), Bosch (great cop drama series starring the man in black or Sylas in Deadwood), Jett (Banshee if Hood was a hot woman along with Gustavo Fring), Legion (if you need something to watch after doing shrooms), The Americans (Excellent family drama that happens to deal with real Russian spies), Sneaky Pete (funny con artist show starring Giovani Ribsi and Bryan Cranston). Pick the genre you want really.

Yea Avatar: The Last Airbender is a must if you havent seen it. Knowing you, you would appreciate all of the heart and soul that goes into it. Satisfying on all levels of storytelling, choreography and characters IMO.

I like Bosch too. Marlo from the wire, Daniels from the Wire and Fringe as well the man in black from Lost. Excellent cast and well thought-out story. Justified and Better call Saul are great too. Cheers Jimmy.

Sons of Anarchy or Justified

Hey, if A:TLA is apparently on the table, that’s basically required reading. It absolutely lives up to its hype, even if I do think you might struggle to get into it for the first season. I’ll say again that Justified and Hannibal would be my suggestions. For Justified, Raylan and Boyd are both strong contenders for GOAT-tier status, and honestly it’s just an absurdly overlooked show that not many reactors have tackled. Hannibal is amazing, has Mads Mikkelsen’s best performance (which is a loaded fucking sentence), and Laurence Fishburne gets to be a badass again. But I’d be lying if I didn’t say the biggest reason I push for it is the amusement I’d get from imagining you having to edit in the “DISGUSTING!” clip ten times in one episode.

Feather_Noir

Of what's been suggested already...Justified, Hannibal, Dark, and 12 Monkeys are all great picks. (Justified being my number one pick.) For new suggestions, Luther and Killing Eve could be good options too.

IM going with Hannibal too. Haven’t watched it since it was in the air but I loved it. I joined here for person of interest and you did not dissapoint. Your fringe, the boys and lost reactions are also great. Hannibal is an amazing show

Spartacus, Justified, or Dark would all be great

I'd like you to watch something that you will ENJOY. That's the big thing. It's also good to see something other than Anime. You've indicated that you like cop shows, intrigue, fantasy, sci-fi, and most specifically "power/influence/control" type characters like Frank Underwood, Kingpin, Adama, Benjamin Linus, Walternate, Finch etc. As a result, I know that you would love Spartacus, but Hannibal and The Americans are both excellent suggestions. Good alternates are: Altered Carbon, Dark, 12 Monkeys, Luther, 24, Legion, The Last Kingdom, Boardwalk Empire, Orphan Black. Whatever it is, if you have angst on your face and say multiple times "I don't want to watch this." I'd rather you post a "sorry, I'm not watching this" video and move on instead of forcing yourself to watch something you don't want to. I also hope you're honest about it as you always are, because I'd hate for you to not say something that you feel. It's your channel, do with it as you will.

Robert Kruger

So many I haven't seen, but I think I'd like any of them. Every time I see the title Bosch I think of A Touch of Cloth, a British comedy cop show with a lead that looks similar.

Justified, Dark, Sons of Anarchy, Ozark, Money Heistt

I'm not sure if you've seen it(likely have, as I have not seen it listed anywhere in your polls, but also haven't seen it here or on your YT), but I'd like to offer up Firefly as a potential watch, with Serenity as a cap to the season. It's a single season scifi, with a great cast and a unique take on the genre. Fox absolutely destroyed the series, by releasing the episodes out of order and changing it's schedule mid season, so it was cancelled after one season, but then the cast returned and capped it off with the movie Serenity. So yeah, if you haven't seen it, I'd definitely recommend it. There's some memorable characters and situations worth reacting to.

NexX

I highly recommend spartacus its from starz network who did blacksails its amazing and super underrated these days

Justified. Please.

Justified and Hannibal are both amazing so those would be top picks. Also if you somehow haven't seen Tiger King, it'd b be great to see your reaction to it.

David

Glad to see 12 Monkeys getting some love. Very underrated!

Justified!!! Or Sons of Anarchy, Misfits... Surely I'm forgetting something.

Reaction Junkie

Jimmy I think i need a new Patreon tier!! $20 tier = This tier's patrons votes count for 10 votes!! or something to that effect! It's the only way were gonna get Spartacus and The Last Kingdom!! Both shows are 10/10 for reactions. Make this tier happen!! <3

David

I have a feeling Spartacus still won't win. The reality is, this was STARZ first show and most who gave it a chance at the time were put off by the admittedly awful pilot episode. Afterwards, it's been somewhat buried under the mountains of newer shows with similar themes (sword and sandles), especially Vikings and Game of Thrones. Honestly, it's somewhat like Fringe in that it's vastly underappreciated. Although, Fringe had an okay pilot and of course, was on Fox, not a premium cable subscription, which allowed for a fairly large initial fanbase that became a cult following and then resurged a little when it was on Netflix. My point is, Spartacus as deserving as it is, just isn't well-known among tv junkies and I think the polls reflect that. I think the only way it a reaction occurs is for Jimmy to just do it sort of like he did The Witcher. Just my two cents. of course, still going to vote Spartacus in the polls.

I wanna throw 'The Last Kingdom' in for my pick. I think you'll enjoy the hell out of that show, also Season 4 is dropping this week so it'll get a bump in views.

Robert Kruger

I think this is a good idea, but 20 votes. Judging by the "Big Dogs" conversation, I'd be surprised if it wouldn't win with that much leverage.

Robert Kruger

Firefly is a lovely show, overrated by the big fans and underrated by most everyone else.

Aras Paty

Dark, one of the best shows I've seen

Belinda

Into The Badlands, Dark, Farscape, Happy(syfy show) Orphan Black...but I think you would love Into The Badlands Jimmy.

David

I really liked Into The Badlands, but the final season destroyed the show. It's like they had new writers or something and retconned a bunch of established lore and plot and suddenly characters weren't even themselves.

Robert Kruger

I liked Dark and Orphan Black. Farscape is a little dated, but I couldn't help but giggle when Stargate's episode "100" gave homage to Farscape. I'll have to check out the other recommendations you have made Belinda.
