Finch did teach the machine that whoever looks at the world as if it were a game of chess deserved to lose. So I'm glad Finch wasn't a good chess player when it came to real people/lives. All Greer, and Samaritan, see are sacrificial pawns. The last episode is next. No. 🥺😭

One of the things I love about this episode is how it recognises that some things would have changed for the better, and some for the worse, without The Machine. In the end, they have only given the deck a shuffle, but what a shuffle it was. I just love Harold and the Machine in this. So much of this season is Amy Acker's voice and Michael Emerson's face doing some heavy lifting and carrying the emotional and philosophical weight of the show. Just brilliant stuff.

I hear you about Greer, but the more I think about it, the more I actually like how Greer goes. It is the line "history will revere us" that is telling. He genuinely respects Harold and wants to die with him as a prophet and a martyr for his own superior God. This is a man who quoted Shakespeare in his description of these intelligences. That he would want to go out in this grandiose fashion seems very fitting. "We have written history with our lives, and with our deaths." Absolute madman gets a fittingly pointless death. I am going to miss these reactions. I found it late, but it has been so good rewatching this show. I hope you will remember it as fondly as we do. Watching it over five months or five years, it is wonderful anyway.

that was a great reaction 😍 Greer's death shouldn't bother you. 🙂 it was a 100% in character. Exactly like he should've gone out in my opinion.

the FBI Agents name was Donnelly. He was splendid. And there are still other great ones like Hersh and Control for example. ❤❤ well...let's see...if almost every main character of PoI is going to make it on to your list then it definitely should be above the black sails ensemble, right? Because if I remember correctly you only liked John Silver and you really did not like Eleanor! So PoI wins!! 😂😂😂😂

Dashwood was the password. Elinor Dashwood was the character from Sense and Sensibility. Remember the book with the ring inside Finch used to propose. Ungh this show is so freaking good.

Not only that, the novel's themes are very relevant to this show. The two sisters stand for sense and sensibility -- something Harold is torn between in this episode; the sense in killing both ASIs and the sensibility that he has grown to love his Machine.
