The way I see it, Gon and Killua made the right move, especially from their point of view. I agree 100% that Pitou dying just makes everything easier, but this is technically an official mission from the Hunter Association with Netero in charge. Netero is the one responsible for the elimination of the King, which is what the goal is overall. The job of the other hunters is to keep the royal guard away from the King so Netero can do this With Gon and Killua believing Kite can be saved (they never saw him fully decapitated), they aren't sacrificing their mission to hold off on Pitou in the hopes he can be healed. The mission can technically be a success even if Pitou lives, as long as she doesn't get in the way of Netero defeating the King. The life of Komugi is just one more reason not to attack Pitou at the moment. Still, the mission and goal aside, Pitou is a huge fucking threat so I totally feel you on all that. Just my take on why it was the right decision. This is one of my favorite episodes though, the writing was top notch and the animation is on point, as you said. The other thing I REALLY love in this episode is the voice acting. The person who voiced Gon fucking killed in this episode. Thanks for the great reactions! There are still tons of amazing episodes to come!

I don't think I can agree with you guys here. If Gon had chosen to attack Pitou and killed Komugi, Pitou would've went all out against him right there. That's a huge risk. Honestly though, you guys are great Americans. Kill first questions second. It's no wonder Middle East is a wreck haha. In fact, Vietnam was the same. Just pour acid on innocent kids cause that's the Merican way lol.

You guys do realise that Pitou gave them a way better deal than they could hope for. If they had took Pitou's offer to break all her limbs, they would've had an easy win. On the other hand, if we "kill this bitch" at that timing, Gon and Killua would've been killed.

Gon was out of line. The amount of times killua has gone along with Gon's even when he endangers himself, Gon better listen to killua
