Astray3 Chapter 3: Gain Pg2 (Patreon)

A mix of creatures old and new who inhabit the great moss plains of the Astray3 world. The big bug looking thing in center is a Gomradi patrol Tralleck. It's one the more extraordinary examples of the Trallk ( Insert Farscape joke here. ) species that form the foundation of all life on the great plains. The markings on the wing covers denote it's Gomradi affiliation and the stripes on the smaller covers are probably squadron/fleet markings. More about Trallks and their kin in the design post. 

We also have our first example of Avreels ( Wheelbirds ) in the new setting. I always intended to show flocks/herds of Mr.Feathertons in the old comic. An array of different species and colors. However, we never got that far into the story. So, we are starting off chapter three with a peek of what's to come. I'll expand on their niche in the new world in the design post. 

Art notes, I should have added more stuff to this page. The top half looks a little bare for my tastes. I had originally thought about adding some Harkaas or a formation of K'zzit's flying escort or predating on the Avreels. At the time I thought that would be too busy looking. Oh well, production time is limited and we need to move on.
