Hey everyone! I was recently notified about some awesome models on cults3d and decided to remix them to fit the customizer: I took the MKVI builder from DasModell and even took in all of the upgrade packs so you have one library for your MKVI space soldier models!

For the future releases, you already did a very good and solid vote and from the beginning until the end, the most liked option stayed the same: Space Soldier Janitors. This enhances the current release plan to:

April 14: A 2-player starter set for Grimdark Future
April 21: Surprise Library
April 28: Tube generator in the customizer
May 5: Space Soldier Janitors
May 12: Weapon customizer
?? - 3D files organisation tool?

I started first tests with the 3D files organisation tool and I'm not sure whether this will work out. I will keep you updated on the progress on discord, so far the basic functionality is rather meh... but let's see! Still got some time to work on it :-)

These files have a major flaw. Some sort of invisible layer comes down from the magazine. I tried losing the file into 3d buillder and saved it, stilll has the flaw! the guns in the kit for IW, plus the IW pre built squad have the same issues. thanks!

I'm really sorry about this! Since I only remixed the files and did not design them from scratch, this seems to be a problem with the original files. You could use the remesh function in the customizer to make the output mesh solid (you need to have blender installed for that). Anyway, I will have a look at that soon, but I'll be busy over Easter so it might only be next week

Did the guns issue happen to get fixed?

Unfortunately, the latest update just threw in another weapon (that is also a bit broken). The problem with the weapons is that they consist of many broken meshes and the tools I have cannot fix that. The main body is split in half and somehow this cut cannot be fixed. Additionally there are open meshes, Meshmixer will just delete when trying to fix them. The approach to remesh them results in files that are 10 times the size, and of lower quality, so I would not suggest that I put remeshed files in the library but rather leave that to you, checking the "Remesh Output Files" option in the render options menu with a resolution of your choice (you need blender installed for this)
