What's your favorite shotgun in a game and why?

Halo 4's a top contender. It's visually muted but in-terms of sound-design? It's like the thing's firing sledgehammers rather than pellets. There's so many shotguns to choose however, it's hard to select a definitive #1, or even remember all of them. Max Payne 3's are quite underrated, likely because the late game makes them harder to use against fully armored enemies, but goddamn is a that final killcam mesmerizing in its destruction.

Have you played the Persona games or do you have a long game of choice that you can sink a shitload of hours into during quarantine?

I've not, but I'm certainly familiar with Persona thanks to Giantbomb's classic lets play of the 4th game. While my bias against JRPGs is strong, I've thought about sitting down someday with Persona 5 and seeing if I can make the commitment.

As for Quarantine, having paused the Patreon due to meandering around for the month, I haven't really used the Quarantine to power through a particular game. Oddly enough, shows and movies took more attention from me, mainly Clone Wars & Rebels.

Are there any games which you admire in principle (or just like the look of), but have never really been able to get into for whatever reason?

Absolutely!

Mainly MMOs. I admire players being able to spend their time running things like Corporations in EVE Online, and participate in galactic battles. I read about the coordination in mass raids with a smile, and the friendships those kind of things can build.

But I also dislike their gameplay so strongly that I've never found one that's clicked.

I'm also admittedly a total introvert that happily goes days without speaking to anybody, so to play something whose enjoyment mostly stems from interacting with strangers to start, doesn't hold much interest for me.

Payday 2's customization, flexibility, and variety in loadouts is something I quite admire, but the core game design is so drawn out and repetitive that I can't muster up the interest to keep playing for more than a couple hours.
