Angel of the Night (Patreon)

Among the elderians is the Court of the Nine, creatures of the ancient times whose great power rivaled the eternians. They are the original Nine Lilin. These 'demons' bore the Princes and Princesses of the Nine and trained the Angels of the Night to protect them. The Angels of the Night were Lilin who developed their otherworldly talents specifically for combat and protected the court from rival elderians and even lesser eternians. It is their duty to keep order within the court and to keep feral elderian beasts in check. Most important of all their duties, is to keep a watchful eye on the children of their masters. Duplicitous, cunning and mischievous by nature, lilin are a hard group to control. Succubi and Incubi are even harder to bring to heel, rebelliousness seemingly a part of their DNA.
Kal'Kina is one of the most powerful Angels of the Night, having fought along side the eternians during the Baptism of Fire. A favorite amongst her kin, her life was turned upside down when the Dark Father's eldest, Monette, escaped to the mundane lands and never returned. Many of the lilin often break the rules of the eternians God King Dumat to experience the flavors of the kinlingss that preside in the mundane lands, but that secret is put in jeopardy with Monette's brazen actions and disregard for secrecy in her dealings. Should the eternians find out that the lilin have been crossing the forbidding, they would surely seek to destroy the lilin and it isn't certain that even the Nine could stop them. With Monette's actions reaching the ears of her venerated mother, Alilia, Kal'kina was dispatched to bring the wild succubus to heel. A task that needed to happen before her father or the eternians became aware of Monette's transgressions.
Upon arriving in the land of Theria, Kal'kina quickly found that Monette had already been stopped by a mundane knight. Worse, this knight took the succubi in front of his king and a powerful sorceress named Sierra, forcing Monette to swear fealty and submission with a spirit bond. Now beholden to her oaths and the kingdom through magic, Monette cannot leave her service and Kal'kina cannot return without her. After many fruitless attempts to force the King to release Monette from her oaths, Kal'kina reported back and was given the order to watch over the 'Princess of Nine' and keep her out of trouble until a solution could be found. In doing so, Kal'kina pledged her service to Lioncourt as well. She took up the position as master interrogator for the Kingdom, having sworn an oath that she would not harm or undermine the Kingdom during her vigil over Monette. The two succubi rarely get along as their differing ideologies keep them butting heads. This however does not stop them from engaging in sexual activities with one another and they tend to bicker like siblings rather than true enemies.
