Fran, try All American Clothing. The watch pocket of their jeans holds my cell phone. Granted, it is a feature phone, but it is 4-1/4" by 2" by 5/8".

Monty Python's Flying Circus was almost lost. One of the cast found BBC was going to record over them. He bought blank tapes and gave them to the Beeb in exchange for the masters.

Wow this is a long one, I'll have to watch it in stages, attention span issues.

Awesome. Two of my favourite mentors chatting about stuff. Really so glad I found you both over the years.

So you and Dave should join the Church of Saint Vidicon of Cathode. I feel it would be right up your street. https://www.st-vidicon.net/

That's the answer to make your fortune. Sell cans of Aunty Fran's Original Recipe Vintage Electronics Smell.

Let the show begin 😀

Funny thing about Millenials - I am one, and I'm 41 years old. Millenials form a healthy % of those creating the new space vehicles.

I, too, would like a painting by Alan Bean but, as I don't have $50,000 to spare, his book 'Mission Control, This is Apollo', with Andrew Chaikin is a good substitute.

Thoroughly enjoyable.

The ring you get as a member of the Order of the Engineer is rough steel that wears in over time. It is made from steel from the Silver Bridge that collapsed into the Ohio River. It is not meant to be comfortable and serves as a reminder of the engineering design error that led to the great tragedy on the River Ohio.

We need to put Buzz in some sort of deep storage. He is an international treasure and must be preserved!

I watched The Pedal Movie on Google Play here in the UK.

Random suggestion on the E-YouTube channel: find enough people that can do one or two videos a month for a shared channel, and publish a new video there every day click clockwork. Include links to the “guest presenter’s channel” in each post, so those that like the style can find more. The “one video a month” should probably be a shorter one, eg 10-15 minutes, so it’s more likely that people watch to the end. It could be a “best of” from their existing channel that didn’t get the views it deserves, or something new. Hopefully that’d create good algorithm links of “viewers who watch... also watch” in both directions.

Also some retro computer channels have done “combined theme” months, with links to each other’s videos on the theme (kind of web ring style!), and that seemed to help with “you might also like” discovery. Or a ring of “guest videos” on each other’s channels periodically, to help link the channels together more in viewers / the algorithm’s mind. Ewen

as I understand the problem with many of the show from the 90's and getting them into HD is that all the postproduction and special effects work was done at SD, therefore it would be very costly to remake it in HD,

Dr Andy Hill

Sadly in short to get work in many industries you need to be a man.

I like the new Fran spacetime theory. I'm going to have to spend some time thinking about that.
