Prospective new backer tiers (Patreon)

Here's some more teaser art for House of Hellish Harlots.  Teaser for reasons I'll go into.

I'm thinking of adding higher backer tiers.

When I started, I was thinking purely from the perspective of the backer/subscriber.  i.e. 'What would I be happy paying if I was on the subscriber end of things.'  If I'm a writer and a full novel is $6-15, then $1 for a short story/chapter per month sounds about right.

And it also accounts for those inevitable couple of months in a year where Mr Hyde comes out to play and I morph from a relatively well-organised creator to a ramshackle mess. :D

Since then my experimentations with CYOAs using Twine have gone from short demos, to a text-only game concept, and now something that's starting to resemble a proper indie H-game.  I've started the process of hiring artist(s) and the first pieces of art are coming in.  Overall, I reckon I can get the art assets I need for House of Hellish Harlots for $10-15K.  Ideally I'd like to seek some help for that so it's not totally out of my own pocket, so I'm going to try adding some higher tiers.

What I'd like to avoid is taking things away that people were already getting at the lowest $1 tier.

What I'm proposing is this:

$1 Tier
Pretty much as already is.  I want this to be more than the usual "thanks for the support" tier used elsewhere.  I normally aim to put out one deliverable a month, and will continue to do that.  It's going to take me a few months to fully transition all the old HoHH material over to the new version.  In the meantime I'll still be putting out the last few harlots to the text-only version first.  You should continue to get the regular monthly release of HoHH.  This will be the text-only version for the next couple of months and then will be older demo versions of the new fancy version with art.

If I'm taking a break from HoHH to mitigate burnout, the deliverable will be an early look at a new short story or chapter instead.  I don't want this to be an ebegging tier.  Whatever I'm working on, I want to be releasing a short-story-sized chunk (3-5K words) at the end of the month for backers at this level.

All tiers will of course get access to my weekly update reports and whatever brainstorming project I'm running at the time (like #SexDungeon23 at the moment).

$5 Tier
This is to help fund artwork for HoHH and similar future projects, so the main perk will be getting an early look at the artwork being funded.  I'll also release the raw scripts for the harlots at this level as .doc and .pdf.  It's something that's been asked for in the past, but bear in mind, they are 'raw'.

This tier will also get first look at how the new version of HoHH with the graphics is coming along.  As much as I'd like to have everyone to have access to it for greater feedback, I need to balance that with needing the funding to be stable enough that it's viable for me to keep working on it.

If I put out a second deliverable, eg an additional H-space short story or something similar.  It will be to the higher $5 tier.  This is one thing that is being bumped up a tier.  I'm hoping that will encourage greater discipline on my part as it should get me in the habit of regularly delivering one item for the $1 tier and an extra item for the $5 tier rather than it being intermittent as has happened with the updated H-space stories this year.  That is a little tentative, though.  I'm still scrambling to get a lot of things organised at the moment, so it might take a couple of months before I get properly in the habit.

$10 Tier
I'd also like an official $10 tier as well, but I'm currently struggling for things to offer here other than sincere appreciation for wanting to help me see HoHH and other projects to completion.

Maybe this can be opened up for more input from backers, but I need to be careful.  Some fetishes are harder for me to write, and I'm very nervous about locking myself in to trying to satisfy a request that I can't make work for me.

I'm definitely open to suggestions for what can be done to make this tier work.

Anyway, these are some thoughts.  This week is a crazy pile-up of things at the moment.  I'm still hoping to have Sister Squeeze ready at the end of the month.  I also have new UI art I need to incorporate, more references I need to find for future harlot pinup art... I'm bouncing around on a lot of different things at the moment! :D

Ideally, I'd like to get the new tiers up and running from November onwards.  Let me know your thoughts below.
