Up and down week.

In the first half I put out the v0.025 release of House of Hellish Harlots.  This is an interim, mid-month release that adds the missing cures for Lips Fetish and other ailments, as well as fixing some bugs with the tweaked selection algorithms.

I haven't heard any complaints of bugs, so I'm hoping that version is stable.  Next week I'll look to update the public site and see if I can do a little more promo to bring it to people's attention.

After that I looked into finishing off a new short story for Literotica's Halloween competition.  That didn't click, unfortunately.  I found I'd written more than I thought and was initially positive I might be able to get it done.  As I was typing that up I was hit with the nagging sensation something wasn't working.  It was the same feeling that had caused me to stop working on it a while back.

One of the characters isn't right.  It's an interesting story idea as it has a monster girl (a cushionblob slime girl) need to co-operate with a human soldier to survive some more powerful succubi.  The problem is the story also needs her to use her slime girl abilities to fuck the soldier's brains out in a very dominant way.  The trouble is she's a bit too nice at the start so it doesn't have that ambiguity of something like "Locked in with a Succubus" or the early chapters of "Succubus Summoning 101", where the reader should have some doubts over whether the protagonist is going to survive.

A couple of days dragged into the rest of the week trying to fix it, and then I put a hard stop on it as I realised I was making a similar mistake to last year of letting myself get sucked away on other projects.  This time I remembered to leave a note with what needs to be done to get the story back on the right track.  I might quietly go back to it at some point.

That was a bit disappointing overall.  Working on House of Hellish Harlots has improved my discipline and productivity, and I was hoping to bring that to short story writing.  Not quite yet.  I will make some spare time and keep at it, though.

For now it's back to House of Hellish Harlots and more work on harlots.  I finished typing up the last remaining scene for the boobfairy.  I'll look to start implementing her next week.  I also typed up more of Misty (the fog succubus from the original demo).  Her scenario will be fairly short and straightforward, but I do need a few of those to balance out the longer ones!

Thanks for the interest and support!

The short story certainly sounds interesting. Perhaps just just right her as very reluctant to be working with the soldier and often makes attempts on his life only to stop herself last second as she knows that would be stupid or something. Or just make her nice like you have but make her kill the dude after they escape maybe

I'm currently reading through the majority of your short stories on Literotica and it's.. quite the ride x3 Once I'm finished with that I'll dive into the House again ^^ Is there a story of yours that involves mimics btw? I think those would fit your overall style perfectly ^w^ Alsoo, you're using Twine with SugarCube for the development, right? To me it looks to be extremely reliant on the editor, which makes me question if putting the source code on GitHub or something would spark much interest in adding content to it. I've been part of another project that skyrocketed fast, named Monster Girl Dreams. It's coded in Renpy (python) and is a lot more accessible for coders, simply because code and game go hand in hand and it's not bound to an external editor for the needed bundle at the end. Implementing a system for external content to be loaded at runtime is also possible while with Twine you can see that it's made to be easy but is therefor also limited. Can you tell me why you chose Twine as your game engine?
