The Harlot Placeholder Poll Results (Patreon)

I was a bit stressed out and too frantically writing/coding/testing v0.018 to go over the results of the Harlot Placeholder Poll last week.  Now I'm not in such a rush, I'll go over the results and give my thoughts on which placeholders are likely to get full scenarios and what they might be.

#1 Succuba (59 votes)
And the winner is... generic succubus!

I was a bit surprised to see this one top the poll.  She's simultaneously both the easiest and hardest.  Easiest, because her description is "stereotypical and extremely sexy succubus", which leaves a lot of leeway to go anywhere.  Hardest, because it doesn't leave any obvious pointers for where to go.

I think I'll probably stick to the "stereotypical" part.  The House has plenty of weirdness with even the "normal" succubi (Put that tail away, Vête!).  I think I'll curb my usual excesses (i.e. lock Horror-head in a box) and use this name for the classic RPG succubus.  So, lots of charm magic and hot sex.

Temptacia is pencilled in as the "fuck the player six ways to Sunday" mini-boss succubus.  I'll likely use Succuba as an early standard succubus.  Maybe like Boobella, but with a more traditional succubus look and less of the bitchy attitude.

Oppa was always going to be in, but it's good to see people want her as well.  She showed up in one of my previous stories and will likely pamper the player thoroughly in a room of giant tits.  The only real dilemma I have is whether to have her be a standard harlot, or a 'mini-boss' with an extended scenario.

Another character from one of my stories.  A very old story.

As a little trivia tidbit, back when I wrote her story, I initially had an idea to write a short series of connected succubus 'cape-buster' stories.  It didn't really pan out and I switched focus to a shared universe.  Might have made a fun, if XXX-rated, comic series.

She'll work well in the House, I think.  I already have an idea of which grouping she'll fit in.  It won't be a fair fight, but the player will enjoy getting squeezed by her.

This was another generic, throwaway name and appearance cooked up quickly to fill a slot.

She came joint 4th, so I think she deserves a scenario.  Nicolette (Nicole's expy) is pencilled in as a sensual succubus that slowly pampers the player.  Ecstasia might fit as a more dangerous version of her.

I'm not surprised to see demand for a sexy vamp.  I find the seductive ones tend to be supplanted by succubi when sex can be depicted more explicitly rather than implied, but they can also fit monster girl fetishes with the blood drinking and enveloping cloaks.

The two classic stereotypes are either the ancient loli or the big tiddy goth girl.  I'm not sure which Jacula will be.  The name is already very punny, so I might as well go for broke and give her a first name beginning with 'E'.

I still have some thinking to do here.

I still don't know how I managed to go 28 harlots and not include a vore-ish plant girl.

I do have a few ideas jotted down, but haven't got around to writing them yet (mostly because a lot of them are instant death without the right protective charm).

None of those ideas really fit her name.  The one dryad idea is based around semen-draining roots, and the Carnivora name doesn't really fit.  I think she needs to have a more explicitly vore theme.

I'm tempted to make her an extended 'mini-boss' scenario and have her use a variety of different plants – likely predatory.  Maybe similar to the Chimera Dryads of Monmusu Quest, but less horrifying.

Another generic succubus, but with a more demonic theme.  She's finished high enough to get a proper name and scenario.  I might push passion as her theme.  She won't be slow and the player character will likely be thoroughly exhausted at the end of it (and maybe on fire).

As above, but mysterious.  No idea what to do with her, but she's finished high enough to earn a scenario.

This should be a generic name given that it's just a variant on 'Cruel'.  Unfortunately, it's also the name of a Disney character and that character has a major movie coming out soon.  I'd be asking for grief from the Mouse's army of lawyers if I stuck this on a harlot, so I won't be using it (and should have thought about this before putting it on the poll, sorry).

Volumpula getting a scenario is close to a cert.  One thing I'm conscious of is that I've already done the slime-girl-as-bed thing with Couchelaxa.  Comfy, soft slime girls are one of my favourite monster girls, so she'll probably show up at some point.

Past this point we're in "unlikely unless I already have a plan for them" territory.

Hypnosis and whips.  Hers is another throwaway name and description.  I don't know.  The grouping idea I had for S&M dominatrix succubi has gradually morphed into a faction based around smothering and erotic asphyxiation.  Still possible, but I don't have a plan for her at the moment.

Technically, she's already in the House.  The original idea became two lamia.  Calliophi is already in the House and her sister, the dancing lamia, is still to come.  I don't particularly like this name, so she'll probably be called something else.

This is one of the harlots I already have a scenario idea for.  One of the factions will have a femdom erotic wrestling theme.  Despite the name, she won't be a lamia, but she will sexily squeeze the player into submission.

The name isn't particularly original, so that will probably change.

I thought she'd get higher, given how poorly I represent the fluffy tail girls.  I do like the idea of a sexy skunk girl, and she's a likely inclusion.  I think I'll give her a better name, though.

When I had the idea for HoHH, I knew I wanted the harlots to cover nearly every (legal) fetish imaginable.  That includes things like water- and solid-sports.  Scat isn't really my thing and it also falls into turn-off, yuck! category for a lot of people.  I do have a plan on how to handle the more "Marmite" (love or hate) fetishes.  Unfortunately, there is still the problem that I'm probably not going to be able to do a good job on things that don't personally turn me on.

If I do include it, I do like Feculia as a name for a scat-themed succubus/monster girl.

The Clive Barker cenobite harlot.  That grouping has been shunted off and replaced by the smother succubi as mentioned above.  It'll probably come back in some form.  I doubt Nyte would pass up on the opportunity of showing the player the true delights of pain, and she probably has a few friends that share the same mindset.

And those are the results.  Thanks for voting.  It's given me a few ideas, particularly for 'mid-boss' scenarios.
