Progress.  Not quick progress, but progress.  First draft of the smother lamia scenario is done, but it was more a case of crawling over broken glass to the finish line rather than a sprint.

I think this is a recurrence of a familiar lock-up problem for me where I get stressed about getting something done and try to push it so hard the brain rebels.  To get around this, I'll be switching tack for the first half of the week and working on a couple of short story ideas.  Literotica has a couple of contests coming up and I have some ideas.  I did this earlier in the year and it resulted in me finishing the Succubus Heart Squad story that had been lying around unfinished for years.  I think this will loosen the gears and I'll be able to get back up to full speed on House of Hellish Harlots again right afterwards.

On a more positive note, I've been adding more harlot ideas to my notebook, which is starting to get quite full.  I also have some ideas for one of the last mechanics - random events occurring between rounds.

As a quick summary, this is still to come with an approximate timeframe:

Jul: Snake girls + Gift revamp (+ 1 or 2 short stories for future Literotica competitions to get my brain moving again).

Aug: Potion Seller NPC (The Doctoress) + 3 harlots (likely Assphyxia, mind flayer girl + 1)

Sep: Charm Seller NPC + 3 harlots

Oct: partial Barman (partial as he will be main information source and I don't have all that planned out yet) + 3 harlots (maybe an Arachne special, I have a few spider girl ideas written down now).

Nov-Dec: Full intro, House descriptions and Player attitude revamp (These will be set at the start not before each harlot - I know a lot of you find that annoying and unnecessary.  The potion seller will have potions to change this the same way as temporarily altering physical stats, so it won't lock the player out of certain harlots). + 3 to 5 new harlots.

Jan: Random between round event functionality + more harlots.

Around here virtually all the main mechanics will be in place, the game will have a proper introduction and descriptions for entering the house.  As long as I've also implemented enough harlots so that the 'dummies' have been replaced, this will be when I put out a public demo with the hope of attracting enough attention that maybe we can start to have art and other nice things added.

Feb: The first 'clan'.  This will likely be the 'smother' succubi/monster girls with a final "Queen" the player will need to survive in order to escape the House (and win the game).

At this point it will be a case of adding enough harlots (and End boss Queens) to have a complete game.  Even after completion, I'll probably keep coming back to add new clans, or maybe even open it up for people to create their own clans and scenarios.

As always, these plans are provisional.  I think we know by now I have good months and bad months.  If I feel I'm getting bogged down, I'll take the odd week or so off and switch to another short story project to keep myself from burning out.

Will we get a Nurse Honey update in July?

Unlikely, I'm afraid. Most of the NPCs will likely get their own harlot scenarios, but I want them to be a little special - somewhere in between the regular harlots and the "queen" scenarios near the end of the game. I probably won't get to them until after all the basic mechanics are in place. This will also give me time to work out where those scenarios fit within the overall plot arcs. Nurse Honey is admittedly a little more straightforward - she answers to Nurse Honey and that's all. :)
