Update 21st Apr '24 (Patreon)

First up, addressing the cryptic midweek post.

While posting Chen's Harlot Spotlight for $5 and higher patrons, I got a warning message that the post contained some naughty language and "Trust and Safety" might take a look at it. This might be nothing. Or I might log on in a day/week/month from now and find my account has gone.

Unfortunately, Patreon has a very poor track record here.

Fortunately, knowing Patreon has a very poor track record on this means I've had some contingency plans set in place for a while. If the worst happens, I have a place to migrate supporters to where everything is essentially 'backed up'. I'm committed to getting the House of Hellish Harlots game out regardless of what's thrown at me! :)

On the progress for that:

Properly templating the artificial scylla has helped. I'm still scratching away at her. The core part of her scenario is about 2.5K words and each specialised suction tentacle is around 1K. I currently have about 5-6K typed up and several tentacles on the go in rough draft.

I'm still hoping for an end of month release, but be aware the mini-bosses, being longer and more complex, are a bit more difficult to schedule regular releases for. I don't want to 'lock up' with deadline pressure, so I'm keeping that flexible while writing her and Temptacia (I'm hoping once I get the first couple written and out, I'll relax and get back into a better flow again).

I've been making much better progress with the 1.5 HoHH demo. Testing on that seems to be flowing nicely and I'm into the artificial beings at the moment. Aside from checking to make sure there are no display bugs with the text, I've also made a few tweaks to the passage structure of some of the older scenarios. It's mostly to reorganise the passage breaks so that any text describing ejaculations occurs at the top of the passage (to line it up with the crude ejaculation animation I currently have).

It's also really nice to have the art in place for more than half of the harlots I'm testing. It adds a lot and I hope people like it.

Because I don't think I'm far away from the next HoHH 1.5 demo, I'll be reordering and increasing the number of harlot spotlight posts, so there will be another one (the 4th for this month) next week. I'll keep posting one a week until all the Tier 1s have been revealed.

I still think we might hit a situation where the demo is ready before I've properly spoiled all the character art. I'm a little uncertain how to handle that, especially for a full public (i.e. non paywalled demo). Use placeholders? Use the rough sketches? I'll discuss that with you all in more detail when I'm a little closer to releasing the demo.
