March Practice/Portfolio Piece (Patreon)

Hi Everyone!

Annd here's this month's practice/portfolio piece!

I know it's more Captain America stuff, but the great thing about doing some of these side fandom projects is that each time, I also make myself practice a technique I need to work on - this time, it's one of the first times I've done a full digital inking of a comic page.  Here, I sketched the comic page in pencil, took a photograph of it and then inked it in Procreate.  I worked with some textures, and also some more comic-style inking that I've been trying to practice with.

The goal is getting more confident with these with side/for fun projects until I'm confident with putting them on the table as commission options - they still take me a lot longer to do than a normal traditional comic page, but there's also more detail in them (a lot more!)

I played with some styles here - this is another piece for a "Big bang" this year - a crossover with an old favorite anime/manga of mine "Pet Shop of Horrors" (which has some great creepy themes and mild transformation implications in some stories).  

I'm attaching the original (rough) sketch - I played with some of the proportions in the program to make them look better after the initial sketch.
