Alpha 0.24 - What's New? (Patreon)

Hey, guys! Update time.

Let's break it down into sections; writing, coding, art, and reward tier changes.

Writing:

We have made great progress in the writing department. Robert and I have been working closely all through the month of May and we're at the point where I can leave much of the work for Alpha 0.24 to him and I can focus on other areas of development.

Coding:

I've hired a part-time programmer, we're still in the very very early stages of working together and he's only just getting used to the project files but they'll be taking care of a decent chunk of the bug fixing; sprite, art, and dialogue implementation; and any general programming needed for the game. At this moment, we're focused on bug fixing everything that has been reported to the Bug Report Google Forms. Thank you to all who have submitted a report. It may not be the most helpful for needing an instant fix or solution but having all the issues in one place helps us plow through the bugs efficiently.

Art:

There has been no new art assets made as I've been focused on the writing and coding side of development. Plus my personal life has been extremely hectic this month specifically; a lot of life changes are being made. Although, saying that, you'll be starting to see a great amount of art assets being made from now on since I've got the majority of the other two departments covered. I'm hoping to hire more help in the future if things go positively.

Reward Tier Changes:

I've talked about this in the previous post but just to reiterate, within a few months, I'm going to change the reward tier so that the new lowest tier to be able to get the newest update will be the $3 tier. There will be no more 'minimum pledge amount'. 

The $1 will still be available for those who want to follow the project and support it without breaking the bank but once the new update rolls around, you have the choice to pledge an extra $2 for the game or wait it out. Every other tier will be the same so basically, this only affects those currently at the $1 tier for when the update comes out. 

The changes won't even affect those at the $3 tier as you already have instant access to the game when it releases. Cheats will still be at the $5, don't worry about that. And the Public Versions will always be the 2nd newest version, that won't change.

Thanks for the patience and support guys! I just wanted to say how grateful I am to you all and that making this game has been a great learning process for me. I couldn't have done it without all of you and I can't create a game myself. I hope to build our team and create each update to a standard that you all deserve.
