My daughter is out of school for the summer, so she's home, and while she's awesome and keeps busy playing Harvest Moon: One World, she's also very cute and distracting! Nonetheless, I'm working away, and I have a Plan! When I'm done editing Tilling, I'm going to pull all of the books, and do the things. There's a surprising amount to do.

My brother bought me some ISBNs, because he's awesome, so I have to go assign the digital and 'to print' versions to those numbers. I'm going to register my books for copyright, too. Thank you guys, because there is (of course) a copyright fee, and I'll be using my Patreon funds for that.

Now, are my books already copyrighted? Yes, as soon as I wrote them, they were mine. Fortunately, since I've been posting them, and have all the drafts, etc, it's easy to prove they're mine, but when I copyright through the US copyright office, it just makes things 100% easy-peasy, so it's a recommended step.

I'm also considering using Fiverr to hire someone to do the final work on getting the books formatted for Kindle. I'm going to do more research, and see how difficult it really is to do it myself, but I really don't want it to be messed up, and the cost isn't unreasonable.

So, once the editing is done, the ISBN is assigned, the formatting is complete, and they're copyrighted To The Fullest Extent of the Law, then I can finally upload them to Kindle. That said, I'm going to do all of this with book 1, then wait a bit to post books 2 and 3.

It's totally not overwhelming at all (no, yes, it is) but I'm over here plugging away. Though I'm playing hooky with my kiddo today, as soon as I'm done writing this.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, wherever you are!!
