Hidey Ho Neighbors!

Anyone pull any amazing April Fools pranks? I usually do fun stuff with the kids-melted toostie roll on the toilet seat, romaine lettuce head in the pringles can but I need new material! This year I just dumped flour and ice on Ben in the shower!

This week we have Black Widow which I hope changes my mind as she being my second least fav Avenger.  We are going to also post a reaction video to some big trailers for upcoming movies, which could be fun, PEANUT BUTTER TRAILER TIME, PEANUT BUTTER TRAILER TIME! Finally The Ten Commandments, I feel bad I've never seen this, but holy moly did you know its almost 4 hours long!? pun intended.

Ok a few other things.

In the Line of Fire won the Oscars Past Poll for 1994  The top two were not best picture nominees but other nominees from that year, kind of funny, I hear great things about the winner though, till we meet again Clint!

I just posted a BASEBALL POLL that will run for the next 3 days!

I FINALLY posted and pinned a Patreon FAQ page, it took me an embarrassing amount of time to put this together but I hope that it can answer some questions-There is now a SUGGESTION FORM linked in there as well as my DVD collection list and other helpful nuggets I hope!

PS-STAR WARS TLJ will be up within the hour!

Ok hope you all had a great weekend, I focused on catching up to personal messages on here this week, but now I'll go be more active in the comment sections!

Love you, thank you, bless you,

Cassie

Keep the MCU coming, loving it!

Gideon James

Which version of The Ten Commandments? There is an extended version at 3:51 long? Thanks

Christopher Smith

New Poll Suggestion: Classic TV shows turned Movie, you watch 1 episode of old show before watching the movie remake. - Dragnet - CHIPS - Get Smart - The A-Team - The Man From UNCLE - Mission Impossible

Mike LL

That's . . . an idea! I like it!! 👍 Just leave out Wild Wild West!

JC762

Be sure to let us know which version you are watching

zynjams

I loved Black Widow , I watch that movie all the time , hope you enjoy it too

zynjams

mission impossible and Get Smart are the only movies on this list that are good

Christopher Smith

I'm sorry Dragnet with Tom Hanks and Dan Aykroyd is solidly funny. CHIPS has its moments. Only the first MI has the scooby-doo mask reveals flavor of the TV show, so stop at 1.

Brent Petty

Easter movie: The Passion of the Christ. Directed by Mel Gibson.

Mark K Ehlert

Speaking of the Overture and Intermission, Elmer Bernstein's music to "The Ten Commandments" is one of the greatest film soundtracks I've ever heard.

Henry Fitzgerald

Personally I'm more of a Miklós Rózsa man, but this is a great score. I'm sure you know this, but... DeMille's favoured composer for many years had been Victor Young, who was unfortunately near death when it came time to write the music and didn't feel he had the strength to do it. Elmer Bernstein was the young whippersnapper he recommended in his place. Bernstein hadn't written anything remotely like this before, but was keen to stretch himself.

Jason Chirevas

Just going to counteract that and say that’s very likely not a Cassie movie.

Damon

@ HH, Cassie did a reaction to Maverick. It was a poll winner, I believe.

Damon

Heck, half the movies she's reacted to were, by her own admission, not Cassie movies. She's always said she was Rom-Com, happy ending movie type of person. The Shining was definitely not a Cassie movie but it's one of her best reactions.

Caomhan84

Yeah but she also said that she is a believer, and that movie will..... Be tough to watch for her. I could be wrong but I foresee nothing but tears and stress. Not a very good reaction. I've only seen the movie once and I'm not going to watch it again, personally.

Jason Chirevas

Cassie looked like she’d been in a car wreck after THE SHINING and said it wasn’t for her. There’s such a thing as a harrowing viewing experience from which you take value — Cassie’s experience with 12 YEARS A SLAVE would be an example — and two hours of traumatic endurance, which is what THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST is meant to be.

Caomhan84

I saw it in the movie theater when it came out. People were crying their eyes out. I'm not even a Christian and I was crying my eyes out. I was also unbelievably stressed. I needed a Valium afterwards. I'm never going to watch that movie again.

Obie Brown

That movie is well shot, torture porn, its awful. But Cassie makes up her own mind.

Jay

100% agree, Obie. It is most definitely torture porn, and watching that film knowing it was made by a raging anti-semite only makes it worse.

Orcagirl78

Yeah, Passion of the Christ is a very good Easter movie, but an incredibly difficult movie to watch. I saw it in theatres when it came out. You could hear a pin drop when it was done. Spent most of my time shifting between ugly-crying & covering my eyes. I'm honestly not sure that would make for a good reaction video. Incredibly traumatizing, and very personal. Very emotional, especially as a Christian, which I believe Cassie is. I honestly wouldn't want someone to film me watching it. 🥺😪

Todzilla

I totally support Cassie seeing "Passion of the Christ". It kinda falls in the category of "Schindler's List" or "Twelve years a slave". No one watches these movies for a feel good time. It's the kind of movie that should definitely be seen at least once.

Jason Chirevas

I think you’re both mischaracterizing and underestimating THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST, Tod. It’s the rare movie whose purpose is not to entertain but to provoke and manipulate emotion for religious reasons. It’s about inducing the guilt and gratitude of the faithful. It’s about affirming belief through trauma, endurance, and projected pain. It’s of course up to Cassie to determine what she watches, be it on the channel or off, but I believe we have a responsibility as patrons to try to steer her toward the best and most engaging movie experiences as well as, when we can, let her know what she’s getting into with certain films, especially as we all learn together how certain things affect her and how she relates to them.

Now this was an interesting juxtaposition that just appeared on my screen: https://imgur.com/n119a61

Ryan

isnt only Difference: "film presentation contains an introduction by DeMille, an intermission, an overture/exit music card, and an entr’acte card, along with a DTS-HD 5.1 lossless soundtrack."? I could be wrong, but thought the 3:40 was only initial VHS/DVD release. all Blu-Ray and 4K have full 3:51

Ryan

The Man from U.N.C.L.E. was excellent

Rose

I saw your trailer reaction. Mel Gibson / Mark Wahlberg new film "Father Stu" will out on April 13. Based on a true story. Possible next movie theater reaction?

Michael Threapleton

In the trailer reaction you mentioned watching some more Nicolas Cage. He's been in a lot of movies, many of them not good, but he is a great actor and has done some stellar work. Three of his best performances, and three movies I know you will love: Peggy Sue Got Married (1986) The Family Man (2000) Adaptation (2002)

Jeff Milcheck

Add Leaving Las Vegas (won an Oscar for Best Actor)…. and Raising Arizona
