"Buy me some peanuts and crackerjacks"

Getting this in before the jump click . I have seen Field of Dreams (reaction), Moneyball, The Rookie, A League of Their Own, Fever Pitch and The Sandlot!

I'm overly excited about this baseball poll. You know, I have been to a fair share of baseball games but I don't know if I have ever actually watched any of the games, but baseball games just have the best spectating vibes, nice warm days, pretty green grass, hotdogs and ice cream, the audience sings, so fun!

You know I have just loved every sports movie I have watched on here so I am excited for the winner of this!

I'm only promising one winner for now but hopefully get to all of them eventually. Poll will end in 72 hours!

One of you said to promise a baseball movie, then make you wait 3 weeks for labor disputes hahaha

Ok. Play Ball!

For some musical accompaniment, Trace Adkins' Swing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bmzmHffY6l4

Just jumped on this poll and was absolutely delighted to see Major League a clear favorite. WILD THING!!!!!!!

Oh man...most of these movies are must watches (sorry, Trouble with the Curve and Million Dollar Arm). I don't think Bull Durham will make it to winning, but I hope it at least comes in second. I write about Baseball for a side-living, and it is by far the most quoted movie among players...even more than Major League. Also, fun fact: One of the Indian Baseball Players the movie "Million Dollar Arm" is based around didn't make it in baseball...but is now a pro wrestler in WWE! Weird...

RP

You will like Bull Durham way more than Major League IMO

Also, John Fogerty's "Centerfield" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xq3hEMUeBGQ

Sadly, they won't be known as the Indians anymore (I'll still call 'em that!). Most definitely I'm cheering on Bull Durham. Cheers!

Kevin Costner fans must see Bull Durham… must see….

"Love of the Game" best baseball "date movie" ever

Jason Dolan

When you watch MAJOR LEAGUE, you might want to bone up on why they're now called THE GUARDIANS.

Happy Hanukkah

Because the White Man wants to erase all traces of the previous inhabitants of the land? :-)

Jason Dolan

Interesting take. I thought it was because Indian and Redskin were derogatory no? That's why the Braves, Chiefs and Seminoles are NOT changing those team names.

Mike Lemon

They (Indians) prefer Indian (CGP did a video about it a year or so ago) and they coined the term Redskin for themselves and the majority of Indians wanted Redskins to stay the football team name. White man ?, its the woke mob that wants to erase everything .

resinmonkey .

Even if it doesn't win, you still need to see 'The Natural' sometime. It is a movie you will fall in love with.

diego kontarovsky

holy wow we got some really ignorant takes here. to be crystal clear, all native american names, mascots, and chants for sports teams are inappropriate. they perpetuate negative stereotypes and minimize an entire culture. the national congress of american indians has been campaigning for their dissolution since the 1940s, and every single one of these teams needs to update to a brand that isn't a racist caricature (if they can think of one)

Jason Dolan

Look I dont disagree. But I've read articles over the years saying certain Native American groups didnt have problems with the Chiefs. Seminoles and Braves so I'm just referencing those memories vs the Indians and Redskins which had outspoken opposition, so much so, that they've changed those names finally. I would be happy for the Braves to change their name to the Kings. I don't have any attachments to any specific team name.

Jason Dolan

Here's a recent article about the Braves team name https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.wkyc.com/amp/article/sports/mlb/braves-name-tomahawk-chop-wont-change-mlb/95-1e4c3d3a-80d6-4a0d-8451-9fba40951c60

Mike Lemon

@Diego- 68-90% of Indians disagree with you (at least for 'Redskins'). You should probably watch the second link I provided previously.

Damon

I'll still call 'em the Indians, and the Washington NFL team the Redskins. *shrugs*

Bull Durham is my favorite baseball movie BY FAR! Just a perfect little movie. And I think Cassie would love the romantic elements in it as well…. But that said, I’d be totally fine with Major League winning. No masterpiece by any means but it’s a fun movie and as a child growing up in 80s and starting my love for baseball, it’s got some serious nostalgia factor for me.
