As always, thank you for all you do. Can't wait for more Rocko!

No love for Rocky 5. By this time it had lost it's luster. Stallone should have directed it. No Way Home still getting put up this weekend?

Future Boy

I haven't seen Rocky 5 in about 15 years (seen all the others repeatedly in that time), so I started watching it last week. It was nowhere near as bad as I was expecting, so I stopped watching to save it for your full reaction. I'm interested to see what you (and I) think tomorrow!

I LOVE the flower smiley face sweater! Rocky 5 definitely not my favorite Rocky movie but, for me, any Cassie is GREAT Cassie!

Andrew Hogan

That’s what happened to me. Same as everybody else, hated it. Then I had my own Rockython and actually saw what I think Stallone was trying accomplish.

"The serum amplifies everything that is inside. So, Good becomes Great - Bad becomes Worse. This is why you were chosen. Because a strong man who has known power all his life will lose respect for that power. But a weak man knows the value of strength... and knows 'compassion'." - Dr. Erskine to young Steve Rogers, 1942.

Florence Kasumba is a Ugandan-born, German actress that plays "Ayo" of Wakanda's Dora Milaje Guard that deprogrammed Bucky from his 70-years long brainwashing. (Powerful scene, right?) She hasn't done a ton of acting, but I think she is a force of nature in every scene she's in. I sit up straight every time I see her. 😅

Walker killed an enemy combatant in the field of battle, and the world is safer for it. Steve Rogers killed far more enemies throughout his run in the MCU films , just go back and watch. But because he's Steve Rogers, he gets a pass.

David Crabtree

Very excited for Rocky 5 reaction. Despite a couple questionable casting choices, that movie tells a great story, and Stallone really returns to form as the character of Rocky, where I felt Stallone was just playing Stallone in Rocky 4.

zynjams

the guy walker killed , told Carley that Captain America was his favorite Avenger . only to be killed by his shield

Ike

Yeah, they probably should have because it's kind of important.

David Crabtree

I don't think it would have made sense narratively to include that clip. This show is from the point of view of these characters. That line and scene from the first Captain America film was from a private moment between Steve Roger's and Dr. Erskine. Plus, this is a different modified super soldier serum than the one Steve was given, so what Dr. Erskine's formula was designed to do could be much different than this new one.

Ike

I think it was rhetorical, David. :)

Audio is... off? Panned to the left? Was a little distracting.

Tara

Haha Cassie! Yes, the blonde Ken doll guy when a bit cray cray

What's ironic is that using Karli's logic, Walker was justified in killing her friend. I felt the opposite about her character- I found her way too easy to dislike and was honestly rooting for anyway to bring her in/take her down whether it be Sam/Bucky, Walker, even the Power Broker or Zemo lol. The hypocrisy in her argument for her cause is too great for me to get on board.
