Hey friends, here is the full length reaction to Almost Famous! Carly and I really enjoyed this one, a kind of coming-of-age inside a music movie and unique to us and surprising on how much we loved it.

Cassie: "This is real, Russell." I like the bus scene with Tiny Dancer.

Kind of sad neither of you got the Mick Jagger joke by Jimmy Fallon.

Loved this! Thanks Cassie and Carly!

Oh Brother Where Art Thou: A Bluegrass Odyssey. Almost Famous; Rock Odyssey, including Sirens Complete the trilogy with Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Haven’t watched yet but excited to… in my top 5 of all-time-favorite films and easily the best movie about Rock & Roll music…. and the fact that’s it’s basically a biopic of the writer and director makes it even more special.

Okay, so just watched your reaction. Glad you enjoyed it! Loved that you kept going back and forth on if Russell was a good guy or bad guy. I thought he redeemed himself in the end….Side note; Brad Pitt was suppose to play that role but dropped out at the last minute due to the old “creative differences” reason… who knows why but I’m glad because Billy Crudup crushed that role…… you seemed unfamiliar with the music so you should brush up on your rock & roll! The soundtrack is a great place to start, then check out some classic R&R bands like Led Zeppelin, The Who, The Stones etc…. And The Allman Brothers, who, even tho Cameron Crowe hasn’t admitted it, is widely considered as the basis for Stillwater.

Theatrical version IS the most common version. It can be rented on pretty much every digital retailer (Amazon and VUDU, for example), and is available on DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K.

Nice reaction ladies! Glad you enjoyed the film! I thought the film was very well written. Your reaction was similar to mine the first time I watched it. 3/4 of the way through the movie, I wasn’t sure how the story would end. I wasn’t even sure how I wanted the movie to end. But I was actually happy the way the movie concluded. I look forward to you guys reacting to Legends of the Fall!

Afaik only the extended cut was available on Blu-ray between its initial 2008 release and last year's 4K remaster release.

"What kind of beer?" Golly, I love this movie. My favorite Cameron Crow.

As I mentioned in my instagram post for this. I was not a fan of this movie. I think it’s very overrated and never got the appeal. The only thing that remotely makes it watchable is Kate Hudson’s performance, and she was just ok. I saw it once and never cared to see it again. I’ve actually never been a fan of any of Cameron Crows films. I liked Jerry McGuire for the longest of time, but it never aged well. As much I enjoy and love Cassie’s reactions, I’ll be taking a pass on this one unfortunately.

Smart decision by Brad Pitt to drop out of that role, in my opinion.

Jeff Milcheck

It’s a love note to Rock and Roll. And all that comes with being in a R&R band. And very well done…. If you’re not a fan of the genre I guess it’s not for you.

I loved this movie but its been ruined for me ever since I bought the movie on Apple TV. I finally read the synopsis and it says that Penny is "no older than William" meaning she's also 15. Big yikes.
