Hi friends, ITS FINALLY FEBRUARY, that January felt like 84 days!

Thank you all SO much for those who watched the LIVE POPpies and packages on Saturday, I had so much fun and I hope you did as well if you caught it. I already have ideas on how to improve in the future but I think the first annual POPpie awards were a success!!

We have quite the range coming up this week, cowboys, ice skating and football oh my! Thanks for voting in the football poll, it looks like The Replacements won, not sure what to expect, I can't picture NEO playing football ;)  Remember when we polled which poll to do next? Historical Events won, but coming up we will have a second place poll for "Detective/Investigation Movies" I have some suggestions from you already but let me know in the comments your faves to put on the poll!

Thanks as always for the support and comments and being so engaged with me and each other, I LOVE IT HERE

Have a fantastic week,

Cassie

I loved the Untouchables. But it just highlights Costner's utter lack of acting range. He was praised for Field of Dreams and Dances with Wolves because they were great performances. But then everyone realized that that was the only performance he has. His voice, mannerisms, everything are the same in Untouchables, Waterworld, Robin Hood, The Postman, and every other character he's played.

Christian Rennie

Ah yes, The Cutting Edge. I like this movie. Plus it is gonna be your first time seeing DB Sweeny in action. For a horror movie maybe see Fire In The Sky.

Happy Hanukkah

A frustrated unemployed young man with a history of violence inserts himself into the life of a motherless reclusive young heiress, motivated by the family fortune and her graceful good looks. Despite her best efforts, she is unable to get him to leave her alone. It is not a spoiler to say that blades are involved. The *Cutting Edge*, anyone? How can you *not* call this a horror movie?

Michael Watson

I was referring to Fire in the Sky.

Katie Jackson

Double Jeopardy, Dark Skies, Sleeping With The Enemy, The Bone Collector, Lethal Weapon, Speed, Chain Reaction, Ransom, Conspiracy Theory, The Pelican Brief, In Cold Blood, Copycat, The Client, Kindergarten Cop, Identity, Flightplan and Who Framed Roger Rabbit

Happy Hanukkah

I'd be pretty horrified if some stupid with a flare gun was burning places to the ground!

Michael Watson

Fire in the Sky with D.B Sweeny is about an alien abduction

Michael Watson

So I would classify it as sci-fi/paranormal not horror.

Happy Hanukkah

OMG! Not only did he make that poor Moira Kelly's life a living hell, he then went and abducted aliens, subjecting them to unspeakable horrors?! Someone stop that man!

I wouldn't get into a sarcasm war with me dude. It wouldn't end well for you. After all, I have… a very particular set of skills. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my comments go now that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you, but if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you and I will out sarcasm you. 😂🤣😂🤣

A lot of people recommending The Untouchables. I'm down with this because maybe it will ease Cassie into "Mob Movies". If it takes Kevin Costner to get her into a mob movie, so be it. We got to work her up to the film that is considered the greatest move of all time: The Godfather. Not to mention Goodfellas and Casino.

Click the square-ish thought bubble (right of the heart) to reply to someone, then type. You keep adding a top level comment for everything.

Michael Watson

To Mike Lemon, I try but it doesn't let me comment on anything that has been commented on my things. For example what you said. I can just like it. If I'm missing something please let me know. Otherwise, I've stumbled on to another list of movies. Why not Taken?

Stick Figure Studios

I agree with this. The presence of Kevin costner and Sean Connery might get Cassie to give the film a chance. This could be a way to ease her into not only mom movies but Brian DePalma films. When she does eventually give GODFATHER a try, I think the family drama and the transformation of Michael will be the thing that interests her the most about it.

Jon Johns

Are you on a smartphone or computer? What kind of phone, or browser? With more info, better tech support can be given 😉

Michael Watson

Hey Jon John's. I don't feel like saying it. But since you dragged me out of it you must be some kind of American asshole. I'm sure you and Trump are in your butthole somewhere. Taste good?
