Hey guys! Hope you've had a great start to your week so far! I'm currently out of town but wanted to get this to you ASAP as it won the pre-1961 tournament.

This was not the "horror" I was expecting, even though, oh my gosh that twist. I really really enjoyed it, it was subtle, yet disturbing but not in a gory or demonic way. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time and I feel like everything I have seen in this genre was just taking its queue from this movie. I was surprised by how much I liked it and what a fun way to start off the Halloween season :)

[Full Reaction] Psycho (1960)

I've been in horror mode so I revisited this one and had to watch with you. I have always felt so indignant that Anthony Perkins did not get an Oscar nomination for Norman Bates. He really nailed every aspect of this role, charming you and then going so very dark. That ending smile is one of my favorite moments in cinema. It really does send total chills through you.

"Okay, note to self: never take the room next to the office." That was funny. After this movie, women went back to bathing for a long time. Even Leigh was affected by her experience on set. She told a reporter decades later, "I stopped taking showers, and I take baths only." After Hitchcock died in 1980, Universal Pictures produced follow-ups: three sequels, a remake, a made-for-television spin-off, and a television series. Psycho II (1980) is good.

OH FFFF....FLIP!

“A boy’s best friend is his mother.” Thus begun the modern horror/suspense genre. I’m glad you enjoyed it. Great reaction as always.

I've never seen the full movie, but after watching your reaction to it I will now watch it.

A great reaction this. I really enjoyed it. Lean in now Cassie because I want to whisper something in your ear so your other patrons can't hear and give me grief and hell for what I'm about to tell you: (Whispers) *12 Angry Men is better*

brooke atkins

She has said several times that she’s doing all 4 of the final films including 12 angry men.

There were four psycho movies the last one I think was a showtime original. Part two and three I think they’re OK I mean they’re a different style of movie at this point but I like Anthony Hopkins as Norman Bates. So it’s like not as good as the first psycho is better than no psycho at all. And like I said they’re not so bad plus I’d really like to see what your reaction would be to part four.

Alfred hitchcock was a master of the suspense movie... I will suggest as well, and I do so in hopes you watch and react to them, would love to see your reaction to the original Halloween movie with Jamie Lee Curtis, who is the daughter of Janet Leigh from Psycho. would also love to see you review Young Frankenstein with Gene Wilder, and Bram Stroker's Dracula with Keanu Reeves... Mainly because I like these movies :)

Gary Quick

Actually the Dracula one is rather gory watch with caution...

Another good one for your pre-1961 series ( I know it's over but it's still a good suggestion) is to Kill a Mockingbird with Gregory Peck. Trivia note, this is also Superman's favorite movie... probably because Atticus is basicly Clark Kent :) it's a awesome movie and is worth watching

I've never seen this movie, but I did watch your reaction on YouTube and wow was I surprised at this movie just from your reaction. So, I downloaded the movie, and am going to watch it this fine Saturday afternoon, along with your commentary, while strumming my guitar and smoking my tobacco pipe. Good day to you :)

I don’t know if it’s already been said here, but two other amazing Hitchcock movies that you should check out are The Birds and Rear Window!!! They’re both so amazing!!!

In a way, this movie was "the first of it's kind". Before Psycho, horror movies followed a fairly consistent and typical progression. This one, however, broke the mold with a new kind horror concept that no one had ever seen on screen before: The female lead being killed off halfway through the film and the up close, in your face blood and gore. BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY. This was the first time in a horror film that the "monster" was man. Not a werewolf, not a mummy, not a vampire, not Frankenstein. JUST A MAN. That's what a lot people took away from the film after seeing it for the first time back in 1960. In the context, everyone's eyes were opened to the idea that MAN could be a monster. That notion was, and still is, very terrifying. Nothing short of genius this movie is.
