I had lots of great suggestions on how to make the suggestion process much easier, so next time we'll try some of them out cause I know it was a bit hard to sort through all the comments.

Also, Terminator 2 will be up tomorrow!

Interesting -- I get the love for Casablanca, but not the near repudiation of African Queen. I'm pretty sure if Humphrey Bogart was still alive and advising us which one to watch, it would be AQ hands down!

The only way "12 Angry Men" can be beating "Ben-Hur" is if people haven't seen Ben-Hur! 11 Academy Award wins (12 nominations, only "Titanic" and "The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King" have won more) 3 Golden Globe wins The picture also won the BAFTA Award for Best Film, the New York Film Critics Circle Award for Best Film, and the Directors Guild of America Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in a Motion Picture for William Wyler's masterful direction. "12 Angry Men" is a very good movie, one of the best ever courtroom dramas, but it isn't THAT great.

Citizen Kane is an overrated piece of garbage , please dont watch that

Mike Lipke

Casablanca is probably the best movie ever made , please add that one to your list

Mike Lipke

another great old movie is The Best Years of Our Lives Four returning service men are returning home after WW2 each with their own stories about how to transition back to civilian life , also some of the best love stories .

I don't mean to brag, but I have seen all of those films. Whichever ones you end up watching I guarantee will be worth your time.

You'll love Roman Holiday...

Definitely appreciate how some reactors are finally giving pre-1960s films a chance! Thanks a lot for this! :D Honestly, I recommend you seeing as many of those as your heart desires. All great works and many more I'm sure based on the recommendations you've received.

AC5555

So have I! :D with the exception of Ten Comandments

AC5555

Best Years is one of my top ten movies of all time!

AC5555

Yeah it's controversial! Definitely should be watched at least once though because of its historical significance and impact on film.

A few more movies that weren't even mentioned (is it too late to mention them for a future date?) "Bringing Up Baby" 1938 Katherine Hepburn and Cary Grant. "The Bachelor and the Bobby-Soxer" 1947 Myrna Loy, Shirley Temple, Cary Grant. "My Man Godfrey" 1936 Carole Lombard, William Powell. and finally, "It Happened One Night" 1934 Claudette Colbert, Clark Gable.

I applaud these suggestions. They are funny, slapstick comedies that have a lot of what Cassie can enjoy. Unfortunately, most of the suggestions for all the movies are suggested by men and to shows. Thankfully Cassie has been entertained enough by the final choices.
