Oh my, ok I really loved this one. Guys! I looked it up after and it's not actually based on a true story, can they lie to us like that? I was so stressed for poor Scotty. I don't know if I appreciated it more because I grew up in Canada and the accent was so funny to me. I have never seen a movie like this-suspense and dark comedy and it was so great. I thought every actor/actress in here was amazing and the story was just so frustrating and entertaining! I am officially driving everyone around me crazy by talking like they do non-stop since I saw this!

Five star film. Absolutely love it and Cassie's reaction is great.

Just catching up on all the movie reactions I didn't see. Regarding the accents. We were living on the west side of the Twin Cities when this movie was made. Minnesotans hate the stereo type but I swear once you start heading out to the prairies past Lake Minnetonka towards Hutcheson those accents are real.

One other comment on Fargo regarding the Cohen brothers who made it. George Clooney stared in several Cohen brother movies. I heard him interviewed on a local talk show after O' Brother Where Art Thou came out. His first question was, as they were raised up there what did you do to them? Minnesotans have a weird sense of Humor. This was once written about them/us. "The people of Minnesota elected a professional wrestler as their governor. They did so just because they could. Minnesota is one of the smartest states in the country. It is also filled with people who have a dark sense of humor — and voting for Ventura was their version of a good practical joke on a sick political system". Fargo is a perfect example of that weird sense of humor. Another example is the movie "Drop Dead Gorgeous" which was also filmed out on the West side of the Twin Cities in the 90s. If you liked Fargo then watch it.

Frances McDormand is stunning in this. Her Oscar win for Best Actress is well deserved. I also liked her performances in: *Almost Famous (2000) (she nominated for Oscar for Best Supporting Actress) *Mississippi Burning (1988) (she nominated for Oscar for Best Supporting Actress)

Harve Presnell was a brilliant singer ( see the YouTube clip of him singing They Call the Wind Maria , from Paint Your Wagon 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂

this movie does so many things well as far as filmmaking. they flesh out their characters so well that even smaller parts get quite a bit of love. this is certainly one of their best. as far as suspense, no country is probably better but i think that falls into the drama category when you factor in what the theme actually is.

I love this movie! I've been suggesting it to different reactors for awhile. I'm so glad someone finally watched it and enjoyed it! Another movie you should see is Sling Blade. I believe it came out the same year, but, instead of a Minnesota accent, everyone has an Arkansas accent.

Yes watch the series. Its awesome and it connects with the movie.

The series is a recommendation! It is a completely different story, but it has the same feel, it plays in the same "universe", and has some links with the movie.

I kept waiting for either you or sis to say "you betcha"

Please watch and react to the series! It's better than this movie. The writing is top notch and there's some very big name well known acting talent.

Steven Ashford

To hear your accent come out was so funny. As the movie went on your accent was present even when you weren’t repeating them.

The scene at the restaurant I've never cared for because it has nothing to do with the film. The breakfast has everything to do with it in the same way that the ending does. You see all this horrid violence and then you have this couple showing you the reason all of it is so terrible, because life can be so good and loving.
