To be honest, I’ve only watched this movie once. Once was enough. It’s a real gruelling cinematic journey and probably the darkest of the spate of movies that try to exorcise the ghosts of what happened to the USA in Vietnam.

Cassie, I emphatically recommend that you watch Hearts of darkness. I know that documentaries are not common to this channel but you’d gain massive context into the making of this movie. It’s a spectacular account of the struggles Coppola endured during filming.
