Hello, hello!

Here's an establishing shot from the last quarter of the film. One thing I've always enjoyed (to an unhealthy degree) is putting loads of tiny details on ships, buildings, structures etc. It's the Macross fan in me, I guess. This shot has three separate planes (background space, midground large ship and foreground miner) so I'll get some nice parallax on this shot.
Speaking of unhealthy degrees of obsession, parallax scrolling is one of mine. I think it all started when I saw this game on the Amiga home computer back in 1989. Crank the playback quality all the way up to full and just look at how smooth that grass scrolling is!

Of course, there's always this masterpiece too...

Anyway, I digress! I'm getting some dinner and then back to work!

All the best;

Hmm yesss.... Big Amiga fan myself. Loved me some Shadow of the Beast. Not really that fun of a game, but amazing to behold. I think that sums up a lot of Psygnosis titles.

I thought the Miner was smaller compared to the bigger ship. But the shadow seems off-scale compared to the ship, Not a big deal, but the command module windows looks like a two story structure but the miner pilot is taller than that. Anyway, that really look gorgeous! I thought it was going to be a "Where's Alie" game, try to find him but it seems he's still hidden. :D

That's a good point, actually! I have everything on separate layers so It's an easy fix though. Cheers!

They certainly did feel like really nice looking graphics showcases rather than games, yeah...
