Hey guys!

We wanted to give you a quick update, since we were able to upload a new episode yet.

Recently the winds have not been in our favour so we could only move very slowly. For the past 11 days we have been sailing down the coast of Spain towards Morocco, but because we had already checked out of the EU, were no longer allowed to step on land. We anchored for a few hours in Cabo de Gata, very briefly to evade some high winds but apart from that we have been sailing non-stop.

Yesterday we finally made it to the entrance of the straight of Gibraltar. But while the winds were in our favour, strong currents pushed against us. With full sails and 8 knots wind from stern CUBA was actually sailing backwards. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

To make things worse, at any given time the entrance of the strait is absolutely packed with containerships rushing in and out of the Med at speeds of 20 knots and more. Yeay! ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…

Our tiny CUBA and us, surrounded by these giants! ๐Ÿšข๐Ÿšข

In a nutshell, we barely had a moment so far to move our attention away from what's going on around us.

But don't worry guys, we'll make it through and once we dock at  Tanja Bay Marina, Morocco where we expect steady internet ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿคž , we will bring the next episode to you! Promise!

It will appear on YT some time later.

Thanks you so much for understanding!

We love you lots ๐Ÿฅฐ  - Kiki & Salsa

Sailing SV CUBA

We had the same idea Philippe! ๐Ÿ˜‚ I did mention to Enrique, how awesome it would be if one of them could give us a tow- after all they got close enough. The thought of getting a crazy high speed lift like that kept me pretty entertained while we were waiting for the wind tbh
