The ghost in arc is basically a parody of Jojo, Japanese history, and Japanese rock band called His Excellency demon kakka who looks like, you can guess, kagura/shin/Tae stand lol. Unfortunately it's so hard to understand for non-japan reader/watcher like me. As for Kintaro arc, I like it so much. Mixed of wild and random things, but like Gintama, tugging at your heartstring in the end :)

at 1:44:43 you were asking about the comedic bell sound effect, but its was supposed to used to ring a bell for the dead. search singing bowl for context. though in anime it is usually used for comedic purposes. so it is weird in that scene, or is it purposeful to play with your emotion about the duality of that sound.
