This is pretty funny.  Since Into Darkness has a character so similar to Gothic, it's been an important source of canon information to rely upon at times in crafting my character.   Of course, some of the things in this movie are practically world breaking, for example, Khan's blood and the transwarp beaming device.  Seriously, beaming from Earth to Qo'Nos?

i'd love to see transwarp beaming added to the story but maybe making it REALLY power hungry and would only work if you had the power available like the power provided by the new power core of gothic's new ship? that and it should only work if you know where you are beaming to and have the coordinates ready because you have to remember everything in space is constantly moving so you have to know exactly where you're beaming or you might end up in space or inside the planet you are trying to go to

Hmm...interesting. The issue I see with it is that Khan managed to successfully do this beaming with the power source of a 23rd century shuttle. I could, potentially, ignore that altogether, but that's a slippery slope. Like so many of the technological advantages Gothic has over the Federation/alpha quadrant species, particle synthesis replication/holography, phase cloak, slipstream drive, I could simply have him desperately try to keep those advantages secret and to himself. He'd have to use it very, very sparingly, though.

I never did like how that went down in the movie, I mean normal transporter technology is power-hungry in itself (you even mention how power hungry the regular transporter is when gothic and data were installing it in his ship when they went to rescue Picard) that you would think a transwarp transporter would be even more power-hungry as you are transporting so much further than regular transporters can take you, the only way I can see around that plot hole from the movie where Scotty finds that “portable transwarp beaming” device that tells them where khan transported to is that it was actually a transporter relay of sorts and the actual transwarp transporting system was somewhere else on earth where it was connected to earth’s power grid or something like that, as that is the only way it makes sense to me beyond it being an item they find so the plot of the movie can move forward

I think there is some non-canon information that says something like he overloaded a starship's engine to provide him the power for the transport. That might have been seen in a Star Trek novel that took place after the movie came out. I'm going to have to think long and hard about if the story could support that kind of capability being present. I'm already nervous enough with the slipstream engine and all the implications of Minos.
