Chapter 25 is ready for you, my friends!  :-) It clocked in at over 22,500 words and like every chapter lately fought me like a half starved bear, but it's done!  A lot of tech creation this chapter, but it's part of Gothic's journey towards ensuring his continued survival in a very dangerous universe.  He's also getting the distinct feeling that the Prophets and their interference might be a little more active than they were in canon.

After I finished, and Gothic caught his bounties (you'll see), I had a strong vision of what will probably be the very first scene of chapter 26.  When your prisoners have tits that rocking, well, some interspecies loving is probably inevitable. ;-)

As always, tell me what you think in the comments!

Corrupted Company

One thing I have to saw about his problems about keeping Bojour safe would be that, unless I am mistaken Gothic has access to the remnants of a civilization of weapon manufacturers and dealers

That is something that's been on the back of my mind for some time. While I haven't talked about it much, Minos is pretty far away. He can't get away to travel there without a lot of people noticing his long absence or finding out where he's going. He also really can't communicate with Minos either. He's a paranoid bastard and knows that no matter how much he tries to hide it, he's going to be using the subspace communication network of other powers and there is a good chance that the other powers might realize he's communicating with them and he really doesn't want anyone to realize that or look further into that. One of his last orders to Carl was to protect the Minos system and keep out anyone from reaching the planet; he's assuming that's been done. In the future, once he (wink wink) obtains a better FTL method, he might make better use of Minos' resources. As an author Minos has actually been rather daunting for me to include in the story. There is a lot of potential there, maybe too much, and it's hard to integrate it in. For now, I feel like the story supports him not making great use of all that, but later on, when his capabilities increase, that'll be a harder sell. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and supporting the story! :-)

I was rereading this chapter in anticipation of the newest one and had a few thoughts about making a Star Wars holo program. Blasphemy or not, I think it’s a pretty cool idea. My concern, however, is translating from a movie to an interactive first-person game. The Luke story lines in the original trilogy only partially overlaps with Leia’s. There are whole swaths where they’re apart. Luke never meets Tarkin, and only briefly sees Vader in A New Hope. Are you going to have to have cutscenes for a solo player to get the full story? Multiple play throughs? Or would you have to significant rewrites? If it can be done, it would be a magnum opus indeed. Looking forward to next chapter!
