Here's Elena's so you can get a better idea of how the stats are determined. Each stat does a certain amount of things but here's the core of them:

Vitality determines hit points.

Strength determines attack power.

Agility determines movement speed in a turn.

Endurance determines the character's base defense.

Willpower determines mental resistance.

Discipline determines the resistance a character has to going insane.

Intelligence determines the character's magic pool.

Perception determines a character's perceptive range.

Charisma determines persuasion chance.

Luck determines a critical chance.

Skill determines a character's added bonus to their unique skill attempts.

Special: The percentage of the character's grasp on their special ability and to what extent they're able to use it.
