Top performing bot in March from 3commas presets page (Patreon)

3Commas introduced a new section for DCA bots called "presets". 

We reviewed it when it was first launched here.

The most important take away from my review was "do not copy something just because it did well in the past month". Many bots in the preset sections were pretty opportunistic and trying to gain from a one off pump. 

As I mentioned in my review I'm going to try to keep a close eye to see if I can spot something unique that we can take away and turn into something that we can actually use as part of our setup. As usual I will test them with real money, adjust some minor things and then share with you guys.

Coincidentally I was considering using my BNB as a market currency to run a bot in the past weeks and while browsing the presets page I found this bot, actually the top performer of the month that is doing exactly that:

• runs with 26 BNB
• 65 max active deals
• QFL conservative
• Huge deviation 72% !!!

38% profit in one month. I'm not fully sure how are they calculating profits at 3commas. I suspect they are calculating against the market currency which in this case is BNB. IF that. was the case then the profit that this bot has made is even higher given the recent BNB price increase. Just holding BNB during March would have made you 27% and that plus a 38% extra BNB added on top. 

You start March with 26BNB, add 38% BNB, that equals 36BNB.

If you bought 26BNB on the first of March that'd cost you 6578 USDT. 

You'd have ended up March on with 36BNB which is now priced at 10476 USDT

Total profit of 3898 USDT. That's a total P/L of 59% in a month.

With Optimism and ETH 2 delayed the opportunities to profit from BNB, ADA or any of the other smaller competitors are pretty strong.

I made a copy of this bot and made a few changes. For example their deviation was higher that 100% which didn't make any sense:

Have a look at the profit by day chart, as you can see most of the month it was pretty silent and as we got closer to the altcoin season it started getting more busy. As with all QFL bots it catches the drops in the price so don't expect it to be constantly opening or closing deals. I treat my QFL bots as "set & forget" bots. That's of course, as long as there's not a market crash.
