Mikelo bot update and some fine tuning (Patreon)
Content
On 19 of March we introduced a new BETA test bot called Mikelo.
This bot uses the bollinger band deal start condition included with the 3commas subscription. We decided to give it a try for 10 days on the 1 hour chart with top coins.
The signal is pretty reliable and reflects the values seen on trading view. With the exception of a few days ago when 3commas reported a few issues with deals being delayed it all look good.
The bot easily closed all deals but the profits have been impacted by using too conservative settings. We were using a 36% deviation which is comparable to the 40s we use for bots that use leverage.
In the last 10 days the bot managed to close 28 / 37 = ~75% of all deals with only 2 SOs which were placed at 5% deviation.
Only 1 deal required the 5th SO to close. This deal was place on LINK coin. In practice is more efficient to then move our lowest deviation to around 7% and keep funds for adding funds once every 10 days to the worst deal if needed.
You can see all the deals in the following spreadsheet:

I'm also going to make some other changes.
- Adding and removing some tokens
- Funding, BO/SO size
- Adding trailing as these are all large cap tokens so it's worth having it on
- Safety orders settings have all been adjusted according to the first 10 days.
- Min volume set to 50 BTC
The bot will remain in BETA, let's see how it does with these new settings in the next 10 days.
