July pick on the $100 tier -- This was a cute little number from 2002! I was really loose on this one (As in, actively eating all the candy in my room) THANKS BEN for picking what I like always  😂

ABOUT A BOY WATCH ALONG!

This should be a fun surprise one! Who doesn't love a Nick Hornby novel? Bring snacks :):) Thanks Ben for the choice!

Okay. Just finished watching. At first, I didn’t remember having seen this, but as it went on, yes… I did see it in the theater. This was the first movie I saw with Toni Colette after The Sixth Sense. I really enjoyed the 6th Sense. I wasn’t quite as awkward a child as Marcus was. I did grow up with a depressed, single mother. I can’t relate to Hugh Grant at all. He is charming and affable on screen, but this was also after his fall from grace, so there was still a bit of taint there. And, while it was a fun movie, it was quirky. Maybe just a little too quirky for me. As I recall, in 2002, I was very busy at work. My kids were in their awkward years. Well, my daughters were. Twins. And, they were 12 in 2002. So… busy times. I notice you were enjoying the York Peppermint Patties. I have to be in the mood for those. When I am, I like them. My favorite movie candy is Peanut M&Ms. Well… it’s my favorite candy, period. (I hope you didn’t spoil your dinner. That’s my problem with peppermint patties: it takes a really long time for the peppermint flavor to dissipate. It affects my enjoyment of other foods.) Thank you for the watch. Looking forward to the next one. Have a pleasant evening.

I actually love this movie, but I only watched it originally because I love Nick Hornby so much. You must watch High Fidelity, which stars my favorite, John Cusack!
