NEW ART - Cyberpunk Samus [82 Variants] [NSFW] (Patreon)

At last, she's finally here! I've been finished with the art for a while, but saving variants takes FOREVER and I couldn't find the time to do it until last night/this morning.

But here's Cyberpunk Samus in all her glory! Given that she won a poll like, over a month ago, I should have had this to you guys way sooner. But there was a confluence of factors that kept pushing this drawing out further and further and further away.

Why this one took forever:

I had originally intended to finish it in a day or two, but I had too many ideas for her design, and then succumbed to analysis paralysis. It took me a while to settle on her final design, and by that point, it became clear I wasn't going to finish her as quickly as I thought. But by that point, I couldn't afford to spend a lot more time on her, because I've been behind on commissions and needed to progress those ASAP.

So, I ended up chipping away at her little by little over the course of a month or so. That's why she took so long!

Design Notes:

I wanted to envision what Samus might look like in a look for the dystopian "streets" of a cyberpunk city. In my mind, she's still a bounty hunter in this reality. Since Samus in canon is literally an augmented superhuman, I wanted to translate that idea here by giving her a lot of visible augments a la CP2077, as well as a bionic arm.

I wanted the feeling of a powerful, technology-boosted Samus, but one who still looks "normal" instead of being in a power suit, so I aimed for a design that takes inspiration from both her Power Suit and Zero Suit at once. The bionic arm is meant to evoke her cannon, and her jacket is a callback to her Power Suit, giving her broader shoulders and the familiar red/green color scheme. She also has augmented eyes, evoking the green of her visor and the red of a Metroid.

From her Zero Suit, she borrows tight-fitting blue pants, and a combat crop top inspired by her two-piece Zero Suits from Fusion. She also, of course, maintains her signature ponytail and stun gun. And finally, as a creature of the streets, I couldn't help throwing some tattoos in there. ;) Can you tell what they are?

One last thing - I've thrown in versions of her Fusion Zero Suits (the orange and blue two-piece versions with the crop top and shorts) since it wasn't too hard to edit existing layers to make them!
