Burp Reaction Headcanons - Ren (Patreon)

Next up, we have everyone's second favorite Phantom Thief, Ren!

Ren (Persona 5)

• Ren is, canonically, incredibly gluttonous.  In-game, he's stuffed himself multiple times to where he felt like he was gonna burst.  At one point in the game, he gets so stuffed with noodles that his belly got too big for his belt.
• It stems to reason that Ren can let out some really big, brassy belches.
• He doesn't get embarrassed or care all that much if he burps in public or around other people.  For him, so long as he gets relief, that's all he cares about.
• After a really big one, Ren will just groan with relief and rub his stomach in satisfaction.
• Occasionally, after a deep belch, Ren will huff, mutter an indifferent "...mph, s'cuse me..." then hit his chest and knock loose an afterburp or two.
• If he burps loudly around Morgana who scolds him for letting Ryuji be a bad influence on him, Ren will just shrug indifferently.
• Around Ann, who may also scold him for being rude, Ren will mutter, "Mph, sorry, couldn't help it."  But his tone suggests he doesn't care that much at all.
• In actuality, Ren's stomach tends to produce a lot of gas due to how fast his metabolism is.
• It also causes him to get pretty bloated pretty easily.
• Though he's not shy about burping in public, he's a lot better about understanding the golden rule of "time and place"  a lot better than Ryuji.
• If he's trying to be discreet, he'll muffle several small burps back to back with his hand clamped over his mouth so as not to draw too much attention.
• Largely because when he muffles a real belch, they're still very noisy when they rumble in his mouth hard, and can drag on for a good few seconds straight.
• When he's muffling sizable burps, he'll huff the gas off to the side and just lazily mumble an indifferent  "...s'cuse me..." or occasionally tap his chest and burp from the corner of his mouth without even bothering to hold it in.
• Ren, generally, can get pretty gassy due to how influx his stomach can get.
• Sometimes, when his gut is really bugging him out, if he's alone in his apartment, he'll lean back, shirtless, firmly rubbing his taut belly with both hands and letting rip one large, throaty belch after another, moaning almost erotically with each one.
• If he's really overstuffed and belches aggressively, or finally works out a monster that was building up in his gut for what feels like ages, Ren will groan and huff with his tongue hanging from his mouth, heaving and sweating bullets, giving his belly a good hearty pats when it feels insanely good like that, which he'll always vocalize too.  "OooOOooohhh god, that was stuck for ages..."
• Ren's actually pretty vocal in his moaning, and when he gets a really good burp, even in public, he'll moan in abject euphoria...which on several occasions, Ryuji has joked about sounding like he's in a porno.
• Speaking of, Ren and Ryuji get in burping contests CONSTANTLY.
• Ryuji always instigates them but Ren is always all too eager to compete and give the cocky blond a run for his money.
• They're both actually pretty evenly matched.  Ryuji can let out some HUGE belches, but Ren can force up some incredibly lengthy ones.
• They're both also pretty evenly matched in burping on-command, with Ryuji excelling at burp-talking, to where he can literally belch out entire sentences.  But due to how much air is constantly festering within Ren's belly, he can let out rapid-fire burps back-to-back, and force up burps that can last upwards of nine or so seconds straight if he gets enough air and soda in him.
• When not engaged in active contests, Ren is also the first to always rate a good burp whenever he hears Ryuji let one loose, or if Ann or Morgana accidentally burps around him.
