tl;dr - I show off the nega maids from the PAL expansion, I've been working extremely hard on the ESAH scene, and I am going on holiday tomorrow!

This week's image

Nega maids! I'm hoping to use these as dark copies of Kimiko, Iku and Fumi as to appear in the PAL expansion pack. This is actually a test shot, I just happen to like it. I'm quite pleased with how I managed to get the inverted colour scheme to work for them. I do have another shot of them actually in the mansion lobby, but I want to show that when I do the reveal of the poster.

My holiday starts tomorrow!

I am going to be setting out on my holiday in a matter of hours. I scheduled this update so HOPEFULLY I'm in bed by now and preparing for an early start tomorrow. In case you were unaware I'm travelling overseas for two weeks and I am not really planning to work in that time. I've not had a whole day off since early July last year and I want to avoid burnout, particularly after the crunch time that I've been going through for several months now.

Updates are going to continue throughout my holiday! They're an important reward and I take them seriously. I have scheduled them in advance already, so they are ready to go and will post automatically.

I've been finishing off my Mile High scene in ESAH

This week I've had to work hard on finishing the 'mile high club' themed sequence I'm developing with Palmer. It's been hard work to get it done. In some ways I regard this as kind of a little mini-comp game within ESAH. I think you'll see what I mean when you play it. I've been extremely, extremely busy with this to get it done in time before the start of my holiday.

Coordinating and planning LMO and the PAL expansion

Throughout the week I've been working, when I get time, on developing both Let Me Out and the expansion pack for PAL. I'm thinking maybe of calling the expansion "Attack of the Nega Maids" - we'll see what makes sense when we finalise the content. I'll be outlining a feature list for that when I do a full public announcement for the project.

Meanwhile, there's a huge amount of cool things I want to put into LMO. I think at the moment we're planning 15/16 endings and that number will probably grow. I really want to surprise you with the possibilities inherent in a game like this. It's exciting to be, more or less, designing a new game genre.

Changes to the reward tiers

You would have seen that I had a poll up this week about a possible change to the $3 tier reward. I'm still thinking about that one, but I also tweaked the $50 commission tier. I limited the spaces to 3 for people actually commissioning new stuff, just so I don't get overwhelmed with requests as they do take quite a bit of work and I'm busy. I have added another $50 tier which is for requesting images/voice acting/game assets/whatever, or for just supporting me, because I have had supporters who have taken me up on that approach and those take a lot less work from me. There's no limit on that tier.

15-16 ending ? when you spoke of having 2 game developed together for the possibility of near release, seen the time needed for your game, I thought that LMO wasn't a good choice, too little possibilities, but maybe I hadn't understood well what you wanted to show. That PAL have infinite possibilities for dlc instead is something I have already thought. Good luck for your holiday, you deserve them.
