Update - Shizu the beach babe (Patreon)

tl;dr - There's three sections to the beach day, structured somewhat like a VN.

Here's some pictures of Shizu on the beach day! I know I've shown a different version of the first one before, but I think it bears reposting; I tried some new morphing techniques to make the shot work and I've been trying to use that more ever since, but I still don't feel like any of the subsequent attempts have been quite as successful as this one.

Shizu's swimsuit is probably the least flashy of all of them, but I still think it looks pretty cute.

Multiple phases in the beach day

PAT isn't generally structured like a normal VN; it has its own design with a kind of semi-open world type of approach and my particular style of interactive scenes. While those interactive scenes are in the beach day, since this event is such a big section I've kind of brought in more VN design elements to keep it engaging and interactive.

I basically divided the beach day into three main phases - an intro about walking along the beach, in which you can examine and talk to everyone, a beach bar section, and then a hang-out section that breaks into multiple different scenes (some interactive).

The hang-out section is the biggest, but I'll talk about that next week. The intro's kind of self-explanatory, since it's based around that big group shot of them walking along the beach, so I'll explain the middle section now; the beach bar.

Basically this is a transitional bit to make the "beach day" feel longer and like more of an event, as well as explaining why Hirai and Kumi are there, but it has a couple of different things that can happen, depending somewhat on relationships. Hirai can try to grab Emi, a different character can have a little moment at the bar (but she's not in the game yet, so I can't talk about her yet... spoilers...) and Mika can ask for a seat.

That's the scene from last week's update with Mika's bum prominently in the frame - you'll have a choice there whether to let her sit on your lap and make the others jealous, or refuse and let her find somewhere else to sit. And yes, there is a special contingency if you refuse but Hirai hasn't been dating her!
