tl;dr - I've been working on new Emi scenes and a new Emi animation for one of those scenes and that's going well. I've also made... ugh, some progress... I guess... on the difficult technical challenges in front of me.

This week's image

This is from a single frame of a 45 second long animation loop that I've made this week, for some upcoming Emi content (although this one's not actually coming this month). I used a pre-made animation as the base movement for her, but I had to dramatically change it and animate a bunch of parts of the scene myself in order to make it work for my character models (as it wasn't designed for them).

The video is actually more of a teasing, back and forth motion rather than an up/down action, but this will just be one part of an interactive screen with several options available and still images as well as the animated one. I'll be getting the loop fully voiced, of course, before you see it finished. There'll be multiple angles on the action, too. 

Emi scenes

My focus this week has mostly been on putting together some new content for Emi's story. It's kind of awkward to release this kind of content while the main gameplay systems aren't in there yet, but I wanted to have at least something ready to go for an update this month. These new scenes will include a fair bit of character development, plus some nice teasing and a smaller interactive sex scene, so it's not too bad in terms of actual material I'm putting together.

I've also been working on stuff (like the Emi animation above) that is coming up for Emi later, but we're not quite there yet. So I guess there's a decent chance you'll see it in the next couple of updates after this one.

Difficult technical challenges

This week I tried to go through a rather difficult project to update my character models to allow them to do certain things that the models can't currently do (not worth going into specifics right now, but I was trying to update them to Genesis 3 models, if you're familiar with that terminology). Long story short, it didn't work, but I'll try to have another go at it once this next release cycle has passed.

There's also the programming for the dating system looming over me. It shouldn't be impossible, but it's hard and it prevents me from working on more content while I'm delving into it. Hopefully once I've got this month's update done I'll have a little time (and patience and energy) to get stuck into these technical issues again and maybe get them finished...?
