Update - Mika on the couch 2 (Patreon)

tl;dr - I'm getting a new computer and my Internet's really bad right now.

This is a follow up from the previous Mika-on-couch image that I've shown before. I actually made the previous one just to set up this picture, then I ended up liking that one more anyway. :) Still, I think this image isn't bad.

I'm getting a new computer!

Yes, I know we haven't quite hit the goal on the fund-raising, but I decided that getting a new PC with a powerful RTX 2080 Ti graphics card would make such a big difference to my work speed and my ability to make flashy animations that it's worth investing some cash in an expensive machine.

It should turn up next week, at which point I'll need to spend some time transitioning over to it, but once I've done so I should be able to really start cooking with those renders.

My Internet connection SUCKS right now

The powers that be have chosen to upgrade the Internet hardware in my area and because of this I'm currently experiencing terrible and unreliable coverage. I'm hoping they haven't accidentally cut something without realising it, in fact. It's motivated me to get around to upgrading my phone plan so that I can have more 4G and hotspot my desktop for a while through my phone. Hopefully this won't make me too cut off, but if I'm slow to respond, that's why.

I didn't talk much about what I've been working on lately, but it's kind of just what you'd expect, so why not keep the update short? But do you have anything to say? Let me know in the comments!
