WORKFLOW RESEARCH

As a 3D artist, not being able to create my own assets has been a major challenge. Instead, I find myself endlessly searching the internet for the perfect asset, which often doesn't exist. Frustrated with this issue, I've dedicated the last 2/3 days to learning and practicing various aspects of 3D work, such as modeling, UV unwrapping, texturing, and topology. 

Being sick with the flu was definitely hindering my mental abilities to stay focused so it was the perfect opportunity to do some research.

I understand that mastering these skills takes time, like everything else in the 3D world. However, by putting in a bit of effort to create my own assets for each animation or project over time, I believe it will all pay off. If I come across something simple, I'll take a day or two to model, UV unwrap, and texture it. For more complex objects, I might use someone else's model until I feel confident enough to create my own. This way, with consistent effort, I'll gradually build my skills and be able to produce my own assets for any project.


KAITLYN MODEL

So, as you may already be aware, I've been working on the Kaitlyn model for almost a month now. It's essentially completed, but before I release it into the wild, I wanted to make an animation featuring her (possibly involving Kaitlyn and Emma). I would've had these two models most likely complete already but currently I'm immersed in the whole Pharah escapade, and I've been thoroughly enjoying it.

My plan is to alternate between working on my next animation and refining the Emma model. This way, once I wrap up the Pharah animation, I can seamlessly transition to creating content with Emma and Kaitlyn. While I'm excited about the possibilities, I won't make any promises regarding a specific timeline for the animation. The future is uncertain, and I'm open to whatever creative direction emerges.

If, by the end of January, I haven't settled on an animation concept, I'll likely release Kaitlyn and Emma around that time without one.


NEXT ANIMATION


For my upcoming animation project, it's most likely going to be a solo masturbation scene. Having previously tackled doggy style and a solo dildo animation, I see this as the next creative challenge. Last time I tried to make an animation like this, I couldn't get the arm to move in a nice arc motion, so I just ended up scrapping the whole thing. However, after watching a tutorial by gifdoozer on how he approaches similar animations, I feel more confident to give it another shot. Since, it's my first time committing to an animation like this, it'll most likely be a bit rough around the edges. If it comes out super polished and beats my expectations, I'll invest the money and get someone to add sound to it and release it like normal. If not, I'll most likely just keep it locked behind the $5 tier.
