Friends don't let friends stay boys. 😉

Text

I backed up against the little table, nearly knocking over the flowers Carli had brought me. “I...I don’t know about this,” I stammered. “Maybe this was a mistake.”

Carli must’ve thought I was kidding. She giggled and pointed at my groin. “It’s a little late for regrets, honey. Now, c’mon, put on your new dress so we can go out and celebrate your official entry into womanhood.”

I squeezed my legs together, once again aware of the emptiness between my smooth thighs. A few short weeks ago, I had balls and a dick. Sure, the hormones had shrunk them to almost nothing, but they were there, acting like a lifeline back to manhood. But now that they were gone, and I couldn’t help feeling like I might drown.

Seeing my fear, Carli’s expression softened. “Oh, shit. Jessica, you’re not joking?”

I shook my head, my long hair tickling the tops of my breasts. Growing my hair out was one of the first ‘improvements’ Carli had suggested to upgrade my looks. Then she told me to lose weight (mostly muscle), wear androgynous clothing, put on a little makeup, take estrogen, have a bit of surgery...

And suddenly, there I was. A man no longer.

“M-Maybe you should call me Joe,” I squeaked.

Carli rushed forward and embraced me. “Hey, c’mon, I don’t think you mean that. Sorry if I’m being flippant. I’m sure this is terrifying for you. I’m just excited you get to show everyone the real you, Jessica.”

Tears pricked my eyes. “But what if Jessica’s not the real me? You found out my secret—that I like to dress like a girl—and I was terrified you’d tell my friends and my life would be ruined. Instead, you...you encouraged me! All those times you invited me over, but only if I was dressed like a girl. You wanted me to become more feminine, and I went along with it! But, Carli, what if that was all a mistake?”

Carli kissed my forehead. “The only mistake was between your legs, and we fixed it. And I didn’t find out your secret; I discovered the real you.”

“I don’t know,” I said. “I feel like I can’t trust myself.”

“Do you trust me?” Carli asked.

I looked into her eyes. They sparkled with warmth and affection. “Yes.”

She grinned. “Good girl. Then believe me when I say Joe was the illusion. Jessica is real. Now, put on that dress, and let’s show the world what they were missing.”

EA, sometimes you can meet wonderful things like the beauty of an uncertain encounter. Wonderful.
