The Coming Storm (Sept. Progress Update) (Patreon)

Ambitious is about the best way I can describe Motherhood's intro. Once again, I've had to learn how to make various different parts fit together seamlessly. Everything from characters, to hair, to sets, to clothing. It is a complicated undertaking.

However, I've finally come out ahead and the first major hurdles have been overcome. Here is copilot Leslie (final version will be without the extraneous badges) and captain Vanko piloting a private jet. This scene will introduce the player to the main cast of characters, a little of their backstory, and serve as the kicking off point to some major events.

Friend, confidant, and business partner. Vanko and MC work well together. Obviously, since Motherhood is a lesbian VN, their relationship is purely platonic. But I did spend a little extra time when creating Vanko so that I could create a spinoff comic later.

I mean, just look at him. That's one handsome devil. And while Vanko won't have a huge role in MH, he is connected to one of MC's love interests. Players who like naughty situations and roleplay will appreciate where I'm going.

Of course we can't forget about the MC. Supporters already saw the first draft of her uniform in the private section of the Discord server (which all supporters have access to by the way). For a lot of reasons it had to be redone. Now it looks (and renders) better.

Small rant time: Wow is it difficult to find normal business/professional clothing for females. Almost everything out there is overly sexualized, impractical, or straight up made for erotic pinups. Heaven forbid there be realistic formal clothes with shirts that button all the way up. Or *GASP*! Ties. 

What you are seeing is actually several pieces from different outfits which I had to kitbash together. I'll admit this process took longer than anticipated because a large portion of this month was focused on just the uniforms. Although, now that I have some experience doing this, in the future this outfit customization process should go much faster. (For the curious, Leslie's shirt is a combination of Jacey's bar shirt and the Centaur cop's police uniform.)

And finally, Gina, the Wife, has had a revamp. Again, supporters got an exclusive good early look at her new aesthetic. Her previous skin didn't really match MC as they are supposed to be similar in age. Now her looks better match her age.

Which reminds me, the last month before the public release is when the next Profile Posts will be out. During development, things like character's undergo minor to major modifications. So I'm holding off on any more of those types of posts until I get everything "locked in".

I know I ranted above about appropriate formal women's attire being hard to find. But Gina is a special case. She would wear far less if she could. Gina has no hangups about being called a stewardess over a flight attendant. However, don't discount her as just a pretty face. Gina also serves as a flight engineer, reserve pilot, and performs ground maintenance and inspections on the private jet. So she's anything but a pushover... unless she feels like being one.

Leslie, Gina, and Vanko are a competent and capable crew. Unfortunately, nature has a way of unexpectedly testing those traits.
