June Progress Update (3/3) (Patreon)

The above flowchart is my current plan for the next few months of development. It's a little all over the place, I know. I'll try to be brief and state that I've run into some snags that I'm trying a novel approach of getting past. Those approaches are comics called "Menage a Moi" and "Holly the Helpful Elf"? Allow me to explain.

Menage a Moi:

Menage a Moi is a drama comic series about a jealous futanari named Kiersten who is in love with both her closest friends. Unfortunately for her, they are already a couple, and she is the odd one out. This comic is designed to help me test and learn more about interior lighting, image text overlays, and custom makeup design. For the first chapter, I’m aiming for 1/3 to 1/2 of the renders to be explicit. Main tags are jealousy, voyeurism, and "Boy, Kiersten sure does monologue in a lot of different lighting conditions."

Holly the Helpful Elf:

Holly the Helpful Elf is an erotic comic series about a dickgirl elf named Holly who is always willing to uh... help. Okay look... it's a comic wherein a bunch of sex in a public setting leads to more sex. It is designed to help me test and learn more about how Daz handles skin (tan lines!), anatomy add-ons, and everything about centaurs. For the first chapter, I’m aiming for 2/3 of the renders to be explicit. Main tags are non-human genitalia and public sex.

So why now? Because I REALLY want to avoid having to redo stuff like when I remastered Fantasy Dating Day 1. Animations are especially unforgiving, letting one render overnight only to find out I need to redo it? Maddening. I need practice, lots of practice. And these comics are intended to carry me through that goal without worrying about all the details. If something is a little off, I’m going to let it go.

Plus, I really want to give my supporters some erotic content while you all are patiently waiting, and I can guarantee you will get something in July, no matter what. First comic release will be Holly The Helpful Elf: Locker Room Fun which should help me finally get FD Day 3 Sexpansion out the door. Menage a Moi will come out later because I'm using it to test out lighting for a bunch of Motherhood locations.

Much like with my previous experiments, simple stories make for an easy test bed. I’m going to set up the scenes in Daz without having to worry about player choices, coding, or any world building. And crank out a bunch of renders. Slap some legible (hopefully nice looking) text on them and release it. At that point I’ll have a better understanding of some aspects that are slowing me down and a more honed skill set to mitigate their impact.

Overall, I think this is a win-win for everyone. My experiments and learning sessions now can generate something other than a one off set of renders. And you all get to see some sexy stuff in between VN releases.
